Dune: Awakeningis a game that is simultaneously full of other players, but not so full that it ever feels crowded. The world is massive, and there are multiple areas that are worth exploring for different reasons, meaning you aren’t always going to be around another player.
But when you are, it’s nice to be able to communicate, even if it’s in a very rudimentary way. It’s nice to be able to wave to people when you want to be friendly, give an affirmative or a negative when it’s relevant, or to just take a seat when you want to take in the scenery.
How To Emote
Emoting is pretty simple, though itdoes require a combination of inputsthat aren’t the most convenient to get out quickly.
To Emote, hold the middle mouse button(alternately, you can use Tab), which will bring up your Loadout Wheel.Continue holding the middle mouse button, and then right-click. This will replace the Loadout Wheel with your Emote Wheel.
Once you’ve got your Emote Wheel on your screen, you can either hit the corresponding button for the emote that you’d like to express, or you can drag your mouse in the direction of the correct emote, and release the middle mouse button.
How To Unlock Unique Emotes
There areunique emotesthat your character has access to that others might not, and that’sdown to the Homeworld you select in the character creation.
Ix
Ixian Secret
The Homeworld you choose doesn’t affect too much from a gameplay perspective, but it can mean a lot if you’re roleplaying.
Those who are from the same world as you will have access to the same unique Emote, butthose from elsewhere will have their own.
How To Change Your Emotes
You can change your emote wheel bygoing into your inventory, hitting ‘A’ or ‘D’ until you’ve navigated to the Loadout Wheel, and then by selecting the Emotes optionat the bottom of the screen. It will display all the Emotes that you’ve collected on the left, and you can swap them in wherever you’d like.
you may do this by dragging the Emote from the left to the slot that you’d like to replace on the Emote Wheel.
