Longtime fans of the franchise will definitely want to put in the work to find Rainbow Road. One of the most fun tracks in the catalogue, you certainly won’t want to miss it. Thankfully, unlocking it is much easier than older entries in the franchise. To help you reach it faster, we’ve included everything you’ll have to do to shortcut your way over the rainbow.
How To Unlock Rainbow Road
To formally unlock the famous Rainbow Road, you’re going to have tocomplete the Grand Prix series.Whilethe CC you complete them on does not matter, you must have completed all Grand Prix cups:
You do not even need to win all the cupsto unlock Rainbow Road. Even if you finish all your races in last place, completing each is enough to count.
Once you have completed all seven Grand Prix cups, you willunlock a cutscenethat reveals the location and accessibility to the Secret Cup.
As soon as the cutscene finishes, you will be able toplay the Secret Cup inside the Grand Prix menu.
