Death Stranding 2: On the Beachwouldn’t be “a Hideo Kojima video game” without its good share of easter eggs, references to previous works, and weird stuff going on in its universe. Sam Bridges' latest adventure isn’t the exception. Apart from having a lot of references to the legendary Metal Gear Solid series, you may also find a cute little detail that makes you the protagonist.
You can have the whole crew of the Magellan DHV (and a surprise!) sing Happy Birthday to you in Death Stranding 2. Learn how to trigger this unique cutscene and what you can expect from it.
How To Unlock The Happy Birthday Cutscene
When you start any game in Death Stranding 2, as soon as you select the difficulty, you’ll be directed to a screen asking for your birthday. Then you read a message about people born under certain constellations having more chances of developing DOOMs. You think it’s a cute detail, and you leave it there.
This info becomes relevant in the gamewhen you meet the Doctor in The Motherhood in Main Order 26. The Motherhood is a terminal that asks you for a code the first time you want to access it.That code is your birthday.
However, the game has another surprise for you.If you enter the Magellan or wake up in it during your birthday, you’ll see a unique cutscenein which every character in the crew will reunite to wish you a Happy Birthday. At first, Heartman will attempt to gift you a cake, but Charlie will make him drop it by accident. Then your favorite villain, Higgs, enters the scene with a pizza, saving the day.
It seems likeyou can’t change your birthday after submitting it. However, you can start a new game and add the date that you want, unlock the Magellan in Australia, and see this funny scene.
