Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot’s Adventure Through the Demon Realm DLC adapts the first half of the Daima anime and finally lets us play as Goku (Mini) outside of a full-on fighting game for the first time.

While the miniaturised version of Goku is still plenty strong thanks to his Power Pole, you’re going to want him to be as strong as possible if he wants to make it through the Demon Realm. That, of course, means unlocking his Super Saiyan forms.

How To Unlock Super Saiyan Goku

When you first start out in Kakarot’s Daima DLC, Goku won’t have access to his Super Saiyan forms. To unlock them, you’ll need to progress through the main story.Goku’s Super Saiyan form will be unlocked shortly after you’ve used the Sky Seed for the first time and make your way to rest in a cave.

Once you rest in the cave, Goku and Glorio will fight each other to prove their strength. This leads to Goku going Super Saiyan and wiping the floor with Glorio, unlocking the form for use in every other fight.Alongside giving Goku a new basic combo string, Super Saiyan has a variety of buffs.

At its base level,Super Saiyan raises damage by 20 percent, at the cost of Ki being used whenever you’re transformed. Once you upgrade it toLevel 2, that increase jumps up to 35 percent, before finishing off at awhopping 50 percent buff once you’re at Level 3.

How To Unlock Super Saiyan 2 Goku

To unlock Super Saiyan 2 Goku, you’re going to need to complete the Adventure Through the Demon Realm Part 1 DLC. The DLC ends after Goku fights against Tamagami Number Three, which leads to him unleashing his Super Saiyan 2 form. While you don’t get to play as Super Saiyan 2 during the battle, Goku does unlock it as soon as it’s over.

That means that Super Saiyan 2 is basically a post-game reward for the Daima DLC, and something you can use to mop up the rest of the side missions and quests. Just like Super Saiyan,Super Saiyan 2 has a unique combo string, as well as buffing Goku’s overall strengthat the cost of his ki.

Super Saiyan 2’sLevel 1 buff gives you a 50 percent increase in strength, whileLevel 2 jumps that up to 75 percent. Finally,Level 3 buffs your damage by 100 percent, making it incredibly powerful. Of course, you’ll lose more ki in Super Saiyan 2 than Super Saiyan, but it’s a worthy trade-off.

Unfortunately, Kakarot’s Daima DLC doesn’t cover enough of the anime to allow us to unlock the Super Saiyan 3 or Super Saiyan 4 versions of Goku. That’s going to have to wait until the second part of the Adventure Through The Demon Realm DLC releases at the start of 2026.
