Each Nightfarer inElden Ring Nightreignhas an exclusive remembrance quest. These act as personal stories that unlock exclusive relics, chalices, and skins. Remembrances aren’t nearly as obscure as FromSoftware’s typical quests, but completing every remembrance can prove tricky.
Recluse has one of Nightreign’s easier remembrance quests, but it can still prove tricky to complete. Today, we’ll be going over how to complete all seven chapters of Recluse’s remembrance questline, covering everything from how to start it to the rewards you’ll earn throughout the quest chain. But first, let’s go over how you can unlock the remembrance quest chain in the Roundtable Hold.
How To Start Recluse’s Remembrance Quest
As with all other Nightfarers,you may start Recluse’s remembrance quest from the journal in the Roundtable Hold.After you defeat your first Nightlord with Recluse, you should be able to interact with the journal and start her questline. Doing so will load you into a different instance of Roundtable Hold, starting with Chapter 1.
Chapters 1-3
The first chapter simply requires you todefeat a Nightlord while playing as Recluse.Any expedition should work here; we can confirm that theTricephalos fight counts. A successful run will unlock the second chapter of her journal. Head back to Roundtable Hold and inspect the journal to start her first remembrance step.
Chapter 2 will start the remembrance section in Roundtable Hold.Make your way to the Iron Menial in the western wing of Roundtable Hold.He will ask you to display your dedication to the cause by vanquishing a night-tainted foe and collecting its Night Shard as evidence.This step simply requires you to beat an expedition as Recluse.You’ll receive a Night Shard as one of the end-of-match rewards.
Return to Roundtable Hold and give the shard to the Iron Menial as proof of your deed. He’ll be located next to the Small Jar Bazaar when you return. Giving him the shard will grantRecluse’s Chaliceas a quest reward. Take the shard back from him, then end the remembrance event. You can now start the next part of Recluse’s questline. If her fourth chapter isn’t unlocked at this point, defeat a Nightlord before visiting the journal again.
Chapters 4-5
Recluse’s fourth chapter will start another remembrance section in Roundtable Hold.When you start the remembrance, walk up to the Site of Grace table and read the note.This will direct you to the beds in theWaiting Roomportion of Roundtable Hold. Walk inside and inspect the bed with the pool of blue blood. Doing so will complete the remembrance section and grant theVestige of Nightrelic for Recluse.
Chapter 6-7
The sixth chapter of Recluse’s remembrance will ask you to find a person lurking in Roundtable Hold. You can find them in theSparring Groundson the northeast corner of the hub. You’ll find Iron Menial standing next to the tent where you can adjust your build stats. If you talk to him, you’ll notice something’s not quite right.Attack the Iron Menial.It will eventually transform into a replica of Recluse herself. Speak with her until you see the text “From somewhere, the sound of a heavy door opening rings out.”
You’ll need to find the real Iron Menial for this next section. He’s found in thelocked door on the western wing of the Roundtable Hold.From the Small Jar Bazaar, head down the stairs to your right and make a left U-turn. The previously locked door will now be open. Run down to the lower floor to find the Iron Menial unconscious near a coffin. Speak to him to finish this remembrance section, unlocking theBone-Like Stonerelic.
Chapter 7
Now that you’ve obtained Recluse’s relics and chalice, all that’s left is tobeat the final expedition.You’ll unlock the fight with Night Lord proper after you defeat four Nightlord bosses. Once you defeat the boss, you’ll be teleported to the Roundtable Hold in a remembrance sequence.Head to the beds in the waiting room and interact with the crying baby to finish the quest chain.You’ll unlock Recluse’s remembrance skin as a final reward.
