Elden Ring Nightreignis by all means a departure from the style of the original game it spun off from. A roguelike game with the longest run back to a boss in FromSoftware’s history, it is firmly centered around combat and bosses, doing away with the exploration and environmental storytelling of earlier games.
That said, it still retains many of the elements that made the games so iconic. Though a bit more hidden away than it has been in even the original game, gestures and Prattling Pate’s make their return in Nightreign. So here is how to access them, and even how to get more of them.
How To Use Gestures
In the original Elden Ring, there was a dedicated gestures menuthat existed whenever you brought up the main menu. You could bind six to that menu for quick access. With Nightreign changing how so much of the UI and equipment works, the way you use gestures has changed as well.
That said, it might be even easier than before. Whenever you bring up the main menu now,you just have to press Triangle/Y to bring up the whole gestures menu, which also includes all of the Prattling Pates you have, too. So while you’re able to no longer set them to shortcuts, at least bringing them up initially is even faster than before.
How To Unlock More Gestures
But what about unlocking more gestures, wouldn’t that be nice? Unlike in the base Elden Ring, all gestures in Nightreign are purchasedrather than unlocked. So while you don’t have to perform any obscure and missable acts to get new gestures, you do have to cough up the Murk that the Small Jar Bazaar demands.
That’s right, the Small Jar Bazaar is the sole means of getting more gestures and Prattling Patesin Nightreign. However, these are permanent once purchased, letting you gesture freely to your heart’s content without having to fear every losing them. Where Nightreign is typically a rather harsh Roguelike, at least you get to keep your gestures.
Gestures can also have a gameplay impact with the Night of the Demon Relic, as it makesthe Crossed Legs gesture build up Madness rapidly.
