How To Unlock Layered Weapons?

You don’t have to fulfill any requirement to unlock the ability to use Layered Weapons, but to do so,you must craft the real weapon to the maximum possible upgrade stage in its respective tree, which will unlock the option to use that final weapon as a skin for your equipped one. As this will require investing a significant amount of hours, you will probably be able to do this after finishing the main story in the game.

This also prevents you from using the appearance of earlier stages of a weapon treeas a Layered Weapon option

How To Use Layered Weapons

Once you have obtained your new Layered Weapons, you must head to your Tent and go to the Equipment Appearance menu, where your Layered Armor settings are.You will have a new option for Layered Weapons for your active set, andyou’ll be able to choose from the ones you have available at the moment.

Unfortunately, you cannot dye your Layered Weapons in any way, so you’ll have to use only the base colors you can get.
