What makesPeaka fun experience is how challenging the game can be. Even moreso if you’re playing with friends, as you can create some hilarious moments out of the harder levels of play. The climbing game has different difficulty levels, each with its own modifiers that will make your adventure a lot harder.
In turn, this allows for a lot of replayability as you use different strategies while climbing. However, knowing what the modifiers are beforehand will save you from tons of heartache and help you plan each climb. This guide will walk you through each of Peak’s difficulty level sashes, plus how to unlock them.
All Difficulty Level Sashes, Explained
In total, there arenine levelsthat you’re able to play on in Peak. As you go higher in the levels,they get much harder with buffsthat will go against you.
When you start the game for the first time, you’ll only have two difficulty levels to pick from:
After getting past these levels,you’ll be able to playseveral more levelscalled Ascent. However, to unlock each of these difficulties, you’ll need tofulfill some requirements.
To get access to the Ascent difficulty levels in the game, verify you’ve completed the Peak level. Tenderfoot won’t open up the harder difficulties.
How To Unlock Each Ascent Difficulty
Upon completing the default difficulty in Peak,you’ll be able to attempt the first Ascent, which you can do by going to thedeparture booth in the main lobby.
But to unlock the other Ascents,you must complete the previous one first. For example, bybeating Ascent 1, the second Ascent opens up, and so on till you reach Ascent 7.
All Ascents will have the previous stages' modifiers in play, plus their own. With the above example, if you’re playing Ascent 2, you’ll need to deal with the second Ascent’s buff, plus the first one’s.
It’s worth mentioning that in Ascent 7,you’re able to still revive other downed players.Permadeath only triggerswhen you die.
