The Altersis all about how the choices that a person makes affects the outcome of their life, so naturally after completing the game once you’ll want to go back and see how things could have gone differently. Even if you’re completely satisfied with how Jan’s story turned out, there are still tons of Achievements and Trophies to unlock, and it’s impossible to get them all on a single playthrough.

Since there’s a lot to keep track of throughout the game, it can pay to plan your run in advance to make sure that you hit every award you’re aiming for.

Progression Achievements/Trophies

These are awarded for progressing through the story and completing key tasks, regardless of the choices you make. As long as you complete the game once, you should be able to get them all.

The Survivor

Reach the mobile base after making planetfall.

Just follow the path, and don’t dawdle once the radiation storm hits.

Dig Deeper

Build an Outpost of any kind.

You’ll build one as part of the tutorial in the Prologue.

Let’s Roll

Complete The Prologue.

You’ll need enough Organics to fuel the base after completing the tutorial.

We Made It Together

Survive the first Magnetic Storm.

Stockpile extra Repair Kits and Radiation Filters early in Act 1, and keep the Technician on Maintenance throughout the storm.

Upgrade the Quantum Computerat least once.

Look At All This New Space!

Research and build the first Base Expansion.

Expansions get progressively more expensive, so be sure to have lots of Metals and Minerals.

The Bridge

Build the bridge in Act 1.

Construct four Bridge Anchors and place them at the designated points near the lava river; two on the near side, and two on the far side.

Complete Act 1.

Depart from the Command Center with enough Organics to fuel the base after building the bridge.

Bold Science

Treat the brain condition using Maxwell’s method.

Into The Storm

Complete Act 2.

You need to depart from theGravity Sensorthat you deployed earlier, rather than the Command Center like usual.

It doesn’t matter which ending you get.

you may theoretically complete the game without completing these tasks, but you should probably do them anyway - both for efficiency and for completeness.

Pet Molly the sheep.

All you need to do is interact with her in the Womb Module. Be sure to do so before Act 2.

Advanced Industry

Create any resource in the Refinery.

Enriched Metals and ALX are the only resources that can be processed in the Refinery.

Smart Management

Use Uphold Production to maintain stock of any item.

Food, Repair Kits, and Radiation Filters all make great Uphold targets.

I Found You

Locate the rebel base in Act 3.

It’s in the southwest corner of the map, past the dark valley and the caves beyond. If you don’t find it before the second Magnetic Storm, the rebels will be dead by the time you arrive.

Research and build all Base Expansions.

The Alters Group of Jan’s Gathered In The Kitchen To Play Guitar and Sing

It’s expensive, but the extra space is worth it.

The Ultimate Builder

Build at least one of every room module.

Be sure to collect the Holochip in the northeast section of Act 2, so that you can build the Park.

Rapidium

The more Rapidium Arks you build, the higher Lucas' opinion of you will be… and the more Achievements/Trophies you’ll get. You canonly build one Rapidium Ark per Base Expansionafter the first one required by Maxwell.

Exceed All Expectations

Once you build a Rapidium Ark, it cannot be removed, but you’re able to stillchange its location within the baseto any legal spot.

Character Achievements

These are earned through interactions with the Alters. Each Alter hasa storyline and a lesson.These can be completed independently of one another - you don’t necessarily need to learn a character’s lesson to finish their story, for example. Lessons tend to come earlier, while storylines don’t finish until around Act 3.

Just complete any tasks that Alters give you, and ensure they stay on your side through the Act 2 decision point, and you should be able to see the full story of everyone on your crew.

Awareness

How To Unlock Tabula Rasa

To bring Tabula Rasa to life,create him for use in Maxwell’s treatmentbut choose to use the brain implants from Lena’s treatment instead. He’ll join the crew at the beginning of Act 3.

All My Selves

Create all ten Alters across any number of playthroughs.

As long as you fully upgrade the Quantum Computer both times, you should be able to do this in two runs.

Not Just An Object

Give every Alter a gift from a cargo pod, across any number of playthroughs.

Each Alter has specific gifts that they’ll accept; any that you find for Alters who haven’t been created stay in your inventory, but don’t take up any actual storage space.

Jan Complete

Learn all lessons across any number of playthroughs.

You only have access to the dialogue options from lessons you’ve learned on your current playthrough.

New Perspective

Give the Doctor the Naranath Bhranthan tattoo.

Use the Shrink’s design when the Doctor asks for a new tattoo.

Reunited

Convince the rebels to rejoin the base.

Use the brain implants cure, then deliver the first supply package to the rebels only after Lena agrees to disable the trackers.

Maxwell’s Path

Have Maxwell oversee your rescue.

Keep Lena from finding out about the Alters throughout Acts 1 and 2; this is easiest if you don’t ask her for help with their brain condition at all, limiting you to Maxwell’s cure.

The Corporate Way

Have Agatha oversee your rescue.

If Lena helps with the brain implants,Maxwell is firedeven if you don’t use them and Agatha takes over as your mission controller.

It Ends In Flames

Use explosive charges to kill the soldiers.

This is cheaper and faster than the sleeping gas route, but has repurcussions on Earth.

All By Myself

Do nothing while the soldiers are in the Base.

This leaves the Alters to an unknown fate, but gives Jan a cushy life on Earth.

I Deserved This More

Swap places with the Botanist before returning to Earth.

Complete the Botanist’s storyline, then agree to the switch during his final goodbye on extraction day. Requires the brain implant cure.

The Things We Do For Love

Swap with the Botanist, then do nothing while the soldiers are in the base.
