As you progress through the world ofRune Factory: Guardians Of Azuma, you’ll quickly realize that most of your time will be spent exploring new places to continue the main story. However, many of these places have long pathways that can feel a bit too slow and tedious to run through, especially when you have to do it multiple times.

One way to make this a bit better is by getting yourself a mount, since these can increase your overall movement speed while also letting you deal with hordes of enemies faster. However, this won’t be easy and you’ll have to play the game for quite a bit before you can do it.

How To Unlock Mounts

Before you think about getting yourself some mounts in Rune Factory: Guardians Of Azuma, you’ll first have to unlock the Barn during the Autumn Village main story.Youreceive one built Barn for free, along with its recipe, allowing you to create as many as you want within your development zones, provided you have the necessary resources and space.

Once you have a Barn, it’s time to open your main menu and head to the “Adventure Log”. Here, you’ll find the Bestiary, and you can look at all the monsters in it. For a mount, you’re essentially looking for two things on the top-right side of the monster’s page: “Can Befriend” and “Rideable”, with the latter having a green tick.

Once you find a monster that’s rideable, you can tame it,which will essentially give you a mountfor the rest of your journey.

How To Ride A Mount

Once you’ve tamed a desirable mount, you can start riding it by first putting it in your party. To do this, you have to go to the Party screen in the main menu and while selecting the team member you can see the button to switch to monsters on the top part of the box on the left.

Add your mount to the party from here andyou can ride it once you’re in the open world. To do that, simply get close to the mount and press the button shown on the screen to mount. You can only ride the mounts outside of your villages since your team members don’t show up inside. Thankfully, your team members are available on all Sky islands as well.
