Mario Kart has always been something of a tech showcase for a Nintendo console, so it’s no surprise that amidst all the high-octane, tense racing,Mario Kart Worldis a beauty to admire. It’s fine to live in the moment and marvel at your surroundings while speeding through each race track, but don’t you want to commit it to memory?
Well thankfully, Mario Kart World comes with a photo mode of its own. An actual photo mode, not some oddly modified function that gives you no control over the actual workings of the camera, or keeping it locked to just the player. Mario Kart World’s photo mode is good, if not still a tad limited. Here’s how to use it.
How To Use Photo Mode
Mario Kart World’s photo mode is never more than a click away, at least in the scenarios where it can be used. It can be opened in one of two ways - Either bypausing the game and pressing the Minus (-) button, or by just pressing the Minus button in the middle of gameplay. This will pause the game and bring up the photo mode alongside the guide to all its functions and controls.
This can be used in any single-player modeto pause the game and snap a stylish image, not just in free-roam. Of course, this is restricted in online modes where it might be a bit unfair to give you a different view of the course. That said, with Free Roam being non-competitive,you can still use photo mode there when playing with others, it just won’t pause the game.
Every Function Of Photo Mode
The photo mode in Mario Kart World is a step above most other photo modes featured in Nintendo’s own games, though it lacks some of the more complex features of its contemporaries. That said,it still gives you enough control to create some gorgeous imageswith a nice degree of freedom to pivot the camera around.
Here are each of its features:
