If you’ve been wandering around your super attractive house inDate Everything!, then you’ve likely spoken with the grand paino in your living room. This is Keyes, a piano you got as a hand-me-down and don’t know who to play, which she’ll surely appreciate, right?
Speaking with Keyes in Date Everything! sees you speaking with the other furniture in the house to help bridge gaps between Keyes, whose accent and prissy demeanor can prevent her from making friends, and complete the piece of music she’s been working on. All she needs is a little support from her biggest human muse.
How To Begin Keyes' Quest
Keyes is probably one of the easier Dateables to find in your house when you first begin playing Date Everything!, since she’s thelarge black grand pianoin the living room, just past the fireplace near Back Dorian off the dining room. She pretends not to notice you at first, but Keyes is one of the more involved options in the game, so get acquainted and strap in.
Keyes is undaunted and would still like towrite her music on her ownwithout your composer skills, but she’s having a hard time with some of the other furniture. She’s got a heavy accent and isn’t familiar withasking for what she wants, which has led to some high tensions with the other furniture.
The five pieces of furniture you’ll need to have met so you can progress your romantic relationship with Keyes the piano in Date Everything are:
Hoove, Hector, and Lux are the first three Dateables Keyes would like you to have a word with, but be ready for none of them to be too keen on helping someone who won’t deign to speak with them herself. Keyes' storyline in Date Everything! is just as much about helping her learn to make friends as it is making her fall for you.
Speak to Hoove, Hector, and Luxright after Keyes asks you to do so, introducing yourself to these objects and returning the following day to address the adjustments requested. Hoove can be found in the laundry room closet, Hector is in the air vents up by ceiling as you walk down the hall toward Front Dorian, and finally, Lux is in the corner of the living room near Keyes.
You’ll need toconvince these three characters to help Keyeswith her performance. They’re not particularly opposed to helping with you running interference, but you’ll need to know how to speak their language to ensure them they’re doing the right thing. Tell Hoove he’s right to be annoyed, talk to Hector about celcius, and feed Lux’s ego to get them to agree to help.
Keyes believes you’re a composer, and she’s excited to helpcompose a piece of musicto be played across her ivories. Early on in meeting Keyes, you’ll relay to her that you’re not actually a great composer like she’s let herself believe, but rather someone who obtained a nice piano to fill space in a house as ahand-me-down.
Use the chewing gum metaphor to help her understand the tough blow.Keyes needs to process this, so unless you’re working toward making Keyes hate you, head off to another room and chat with the other furniture, thencome back laterto see how Keyes is doing.
How To Get Keyes To Perform
When you do return to Keyes after dropping the hard news that she’s a hand-me-down piano you bought for decoration without the intent to play, she’ll be down but not out, determined to have the show go on. From here, Keyes will ask you to gospeak to Telly on her behalf, since now, Telly is distracting her with a bevy of shows she can’t stop tuning into.
She began watching the soap opera thinking it was actual opera - Keyes is too precious sometimes.
Afterspeaking with Telly, you’ll want totell Keyes to be friendlywith the other household objects, beginning with Telly. She tells you her accent and strong attitude have often made it difficult for her to make friends, which renders her awkward and somewhat unapproachable for the other furniture.
Byencouraging Keyes to be kind and openwith the other furniture she’s meeting, you’ll help her learn to make friends for the first time. Finally, she has one last request for you, which is sending you togo talk to Raineyin the dining room to work out something between these two musical muses.
Rainey’s playing her records at the wrong speed, so simply ask her to fix this and return to Keyes. When you do, you’ll find thatKeyes is making friends now, and she’s almost finished with a sonata she’s been composing. It features a goddess named Piana and a magician controlling her, an analogy she doesn’t hide is about the two of you.
As you talk to Keyes about her Piana and magician piece, you’ll have the option to encourage a romantic element in the story. If you’e trying to romance Keyes, be sure to encourage this!
Finally, speak to Keyes one last time once you’ve completed the previous steps, and you’ll find that Keyes has finished her composition, now a duet with Rainey since she’s no longer a one-woman band like she was when you first met.Take your seat for Keyes' performanceand sit back to enjoy the show.
The conversation you have with Keyes after the performance of her piece with Rainey will determine the relationship you have with Keyes, so decide how you’d like to proceed before Keyes comes back to ask you what you think.
How To Change Your Relationship With Keyes
For the most part, you won’t decide much with Keyes until the very end of her quest progression in Date Everything! you’re able to make things easier bybeing kind to Keyesalong the way, putting up with her attitude and helping her discover how good it can be to be kind to the other furniture in the house.
Friends
The first chance you have to encourage a friendship ending with Keyes in Date Everything! is when she’s asking you aboutwhether Piana and the magician should kissduring the sonata she’s writing. If you’re trying to keep things platonic with Keyes,discourage the romance in the sonata.
Finally, after the performance, Keyes will ask how you felt about it.Tell her that you liked the magician and Piana’s friendship.
Love
Before you can romance Keyes, you will need to haveencouraged the romance between Piana and the magicianin the piece. After Keyes' performance during her final scene, she’ll ask how you liked it. Here,tell Keyes you liked the romantic subplotin her piece.
Hate
There aren’t many ways tomake Keyes hate you- simply tell heryou didn’t like her performanceafter she and Rainey have debuted their piece - it’s predictable and boring.
