You might think thatDate Everything!is only about dating objects that you can find in your house. Well, it is that for most of the time, but you can also fall in love with abstract feelings or concepts, and one of those is the representation of your existential dread. Or Doug, for friends.
Arm yourself with patience because Doug can be a pretty annoying character, even when some of his jokes make you laugh or his remarks about the meaning of life hit too close to home. Here’s how you can romance this particular character and unlock all his endings.
How To Meet Doug
Doug earns the prize for the most original way of finding a character in the game. Instead of directly interacting with an object or using your glasses to awake it,you need to stare at a wall for around 20 seconds. Aim at it and don’t move for that time — the encounter will trigger automatically. I usedthe wall that is behind the main stairsin the house.
I have tested it on a few walls, and this one seemed to be the only consistent one. Also, if you use your glass power, you’ll meet another character.

Being with Doug is not an easy task.He’s arrogant, annoying, and treats you like you are a small thing all the time. To increase your relationship with him, you need tolet him treat you that way, while trying tosound interestingand respond with some arrogance yourself from time to time. Most of your time with Doug will involve participating insilly activities that he proposes, and you need to accept all of them for a good ending.
How To Solve The Sudoku Puzzle
At one point, Doug will ask you to complete a Sudoku with him. However,he won’t show you the incomplete Sudoku; he’ll dictate to you how it starts.You need to grab a piece of paper and a pen, follow his instructions to draw the Sudoku, and then complete it yourself.He will ask you questionsabout specific numbers once you’re done.
The numbers you need to say are the following:2, 3, 4, 3.
Love Ending
You need to hang in there andparticipate with Doug in every boring activity he proposes, making interesting remarks or being a bit sassy with him when you can. The key moment will comewhen he proposes that you use Vidbucket,an app about vehicle crashes, with him.
Regardless of your replies, you won’t end up watching any accident as he will get bored. Before calling it a day, you need to selectthe answer “Shut up dickwad. You’re pathetic”. By saying that, Doug will feel attacked for the first time, and end the dialogue.
The next day, talk to him. Doug will be calmer, far less arrogant. Tell him that you want to talk andask him about Hope.He will tell you about his previous relationship. Select the option tobe his “new muse” and explain that he wouldn’t be replacing Hope,and he will fall for you.
Friendship Ending
Tell Doug tofind “a new Hope"or dismiss all the chat about his ex, and he will ask you to be"friends with benefits”.Say yes, and the friendship will start.
Hate Ending
Be worse than Doug.Dismiss all his activities, attempt to be more arrogantthan he is, and don’t fall for his hurtful jokes. He will get bored with you and ditch you.

Getting an ending with Doug willreward you with five points in Smarts.

Simply chat with Doug and agree to entertain him and play the games he brings.You can get more than one medal, so you’ll have more than one opportunity as long as you cooperate with him.

The second game/activity that Doug proposes is a Sudoku game. Simply play with him and you’ll get this memento.

When pursuing the love ending with Doug,he will tell you about Hope and show you a picture. This is the last collectable.
