Like any gacha game, you want to start off as strong as possible with the best pulls. When it comes toPersona 5: The Phantom X, you’ll likely want to reroll your starting pulls if you don’t get the five-star character you were hoping for.
We’re going to cover how to reroll your account to get fresh pulls in this guide, but please note that you shouldnotlink your account in The Phantom X until you are satisfied with your pulls. We’ll cover this all right below, as well as tips on who you should aim for.
Before You Start: Do Not Link Your Account
When you first boot up The Phantom X,you’ll automatically be assigned a Guest Account, with the option to link this account to Steam or Google.
You should stick with a Guest Account until you are happy with your pulls, as this enables you to easily reroll your account without locking yourself into keeping it.
How To Reroll
Follow these steps to keep rerolling until you bag yourself a five-star character or get tired of trying.
Play Through Until You Unlock Contracts
If you’re skipping through cutscenes, thisshould take about 15 minutes. You’ll automatically unlock Kotone Montague as part of the tutorial.
If youreallywant to play the odds, you could play simultaneously on PC and mobile on two different guest accounts and keep rerolling on both at the same time to speed up the process, then keep whichever account lands the five-star.
At this point, if you’ve started playing when there are additional rewards, such as at launch, be sure to claim these from your mailbox, and then you canpull straightaway and choose to sign ten times in one go on Dream Pick/Featured Contracts(the second option).
You’ll also have enough to pull ten times on the standard pick, butwe recommend prioritising the Dream Pick,as if you don’t get as lucky on the standard pick, you can choose which Phantom Thief you want after signing 50 times anyway.
If you have started playing when there aren’t freebies, you’ll have to progress through the game further to get 1,420 Cognition Crystals or 80 Meta Jewels to sign ten times for a Dream Pick.
Successful Pull: Link Your Account
If you’re lucky enough to land a decent pull, you’ll want to lock that bad boy in. When you next return to the login screen,be sure to link your accountso it’s easy to access and recover on all devices.
Unsuccessful Pull: Start A New Guest Account
If you’ve been unlucky, you’ll need to do the following:
If you are using the other delete account option, if the above delete options doesn’t appear, or even if using this method you find yourself still logging into the same account, restart the game and this should fix the issue.
Which Pulls Should You Aim For?
When it comes to the Featured Contracts/Dream Pick (middle option), you want toaim for whichever limited five-star characters are available. At launch,you want to get Ren Amamiya/Joker, who is a very strong party member to have. While any five-star is a good haul, there are five-stars available all the time so really you want toaim for those that are only available for a limited time.
For the standard picks (the first option), you’ll want to aim for the highest-star picks again. At launch, you shouldaim for Ann Takamaki/Panther asshe’s a great Fire persona user.
If you don’t get a great pull on this Contract option, don’t worry too much, as after 50 contract signs, you can pick who you want to pull and to be honest any of the Phantom Thieves from this contract pull are viable.
