One of the most important skills you’ll need to survive inDune: Awakeningis repairing your equipment. Depending on how you progress through the game’s opening hours, you might need to learn this skill sooner rather than later if your guns or vehicles break. However, the process for repairing your equipment isn’t so straightforward.
So, if you’re landing on Arrakis and jumping into Dune: Awakening for the first time, you might be wondering the best ways to fix your weapons, vehicles, and more. That’s why we’ve created this guide. Here’s everything you need to know to repair items in Dune: Awakening.
How To Research The Repair Station
To repair items in Dune: Awakening, you’ll first need toresearch the Repair Station. Head to the research menu once you’ve collected enough Intel.
Keep in mind,certain research isn’t available from the startof the game.
At the very least, you’ll need to have at least constructeda sub-fiefin order to research the Repair Station.
The Repair Station schematic bundle can befound under the Construction tab and costs three Intel.
When you cross the Vermillius Gap in Dune: Awakening,you can find a quest that’ll walk you through the Research processfor repairing items in your ‘Journey’ menu.
How To Construct The Repair Station
Once you’ve unlocked the Repair Station schematic, you’ll need toconstruct the Repair Station using your Construction Tool.
To do this, you’ll need torefine 40 Iron Ignots.
Iron can only be found once you’ve left the tutorialfor the game. Head to the Vermillius Gap north of the starting area of the game, where Iron Ore is plentiful.
Collect as much Iron Ore as you can, and thenrun the ore through your refineryback at your sub-fief until you have enough. Then, you canconstruct the Repair Station.
How To Repair Items
Once you’ve constructed the Repair Station, simply approach andinteract with the station.
From there,you’ll be given a menu of items in your inventory that are in need of repair, as well asthe material requirementsneeded to repair them.
In Dune: Awakening, you will alsoneed to repair your vehicles and sometimes your sub-fief.
Repairing vehicles and structures is much easier. Simplyuse the Welding Torch to repair vehicles(provided you have Welding Wire) anduse the Construction Tool to repair your sub-fief.
Simplyselect the items you want to repair, provided you have the proper materials, and thenselect ‘Repair Item’at the bottom of your HUD.
From there, you’ll be all set to repair items, weapons, and more in Dune: Awakening. Justmake sure you’re not straying too far from your sub-fiefif your weapons are damaged.
