It won’t take you long after starting the story ofRune Factory: Guardians Of Azumato realize that blight is the main problem in this world. As the gods of Azuma went into hiding, the evil dragon has taken away a lot of the region’s runes, which led to a major chunk of each village and the skies being covered in blight.
You can find a bunch of these blighted areas and obstacles as you explore different parts of the map, and there’s also a tracker on the top left to tell you how much land you’ve purified. However, you’ll need some specific items to clear a specific type of blight.
How To Clear Every Blight
As you go through different villages in Rune Factory: Guardians Of Azuma, you’ll find a total of four different blights. Three of these can be distinguished by their colorwhile the fourth one simply takes away a tree’s vitality, leading it to stay barren. The latter blight is the first one that you get introduced to in Spring Village.
However, you can also find chunks of green blight here in one of the development zones. If you want to clear the purple, green, and red blights, you’ll have to reach the Summer, Autumn, and Winter villages respectively. Here are the items that you need to clear each one:
Tree Blight
Sacred Drum
Prevents the tree from growing, and youcan’t get any wood or other itemsfrom it.
Green Blight
Sacred Fan
Apart from blocking specific areas, this blight alsopoisons you if you get close.
Red Blight
Sacred Parasol
As you get close, this blight shoots fireballs in the surrounding area, causing you to take damage over time. If you get hit by a fireball, you take more damage.
You can break the purple blights high up byhitting them with an arrow when you have the Sacred Swordequipped.
You’ll get all the Sacred treasures mentioned above after progressing through the main story in their respective area for a little while.
How To Remove Every Blockage
Apart from the blights, you can also find different types of obstacles blocking your path in Rune Factory: Guardians Of Azuma. Some commonexamples for this are the fog and the rocks with purple lines in them. You can clear the former with a Sacred Fan while the latter requires you to progress the story until you get the Sacred Mask.
Outside of that, you can use your Sacred Parasol toglide across different areas without losing a lot of height, letting you reach inaccessible areas. You can also use this treasure to get pulled along the wind current in various parts of the Winter Village. Finally, the Sacred Staff lets you see invisible walls and platforms so that you can get past them.
