How To Start The Light The Dragonfires Quest

The quest automatically startsafter the Paradise quest, when yougive the Amulet of Kings to Martin Septim. He’ll tell you that you’ll need togo with him to the Imperial City, where you’ll meet with Chancellor Ocato. From there, he’ll need tolight the Dragonfiresso that they can seal all Oblivion gates.

How To Complete The Light The Dragonfires Quest

Talk to Martin Septim to follow you, and thenhead to the Imperial City Palace, which is in the center of the city. you may fast travel there or head over on foot or horseback.

It’s best to fast travel there, since followers can be buggy when following you around the open world.

Once you get to the Imperial City, go inside the White-Gold Tower andinto the Elder Council Chambers. There, you’ll find Councilor Ocato. Martin would walk towards him to continue the quest.Get close to them, and Ocato will talk to youand then to Martin about the formalities.

The talk will be cut short as a member of the Imperial Watch storms into the room and tells them thatthe city is being attacked. Oblivion Gates have opened all around the city. After that,leveled Daedra will come into the chambersand try to attack Martin. Protect him at all costs.

Martin will tell you toescort him to the Temple District. You will need tofight your way through the Daedra. It’s best to focus on whoever Martin is fighting, sinceMartin can die in this quest, thus leading to a game over.

Everyone there, except for Councilor Ocato, will be immortal, so keep that in mind.

Once you get to the Temple District, you’ll see an Oblivion Gate and Daedra pouring out of it. Fight through them andhead over to the entrance of the temple, which issouth-southwest. As you get near, you’ll see that Mehrunes Dagon has entered the city.

Martin will tell you that he has a plan and that both of you will need to get into the Temple. The entrance isto the side of Mehrunes Dagon. You can’t kill the Daedric Prince, sorun past him and enter the templewhile protecting Martin.

When both of you enter the temple,Martin will talk to you for one lasttime before fighting Dagon himself using the Amulet. Enjoy the spectacle and the cutscene, which ends the quest.
