Mecha Breakis a fast-paced team-based hero shooter, except this time the heroes are mechs (also known as Strikers.) There are 15 mechs in the game and teams of either three or six players. The game makes it pretty easy to play with your friends, and crossplay is supported between PC and Xbox players - the game isn’t yet available on PS5, but it’s possible there will be crossplay between all three platforms.
There’s currently no cross-progression between accounts on different platforms, but at least you’re able to play with your friends wherever they might be, and whatever they’re playing on.
How To Add Friends In Mecha Break
You add friends via theCommsmenu, located at the bottom left of the main lobby screen. All you need to do is type in your friend’s account name and send them an invitation.
This works whether they are on PC or Xbox. Your account name is your display name, located next to your profile picture at the top of the screen. Once they’re in, you can queue for a new match together.
If your friends are all on Steam, you can just use the in-built Steam friend list to quickly add players.
How To Look For A Group In Mecha Break
If you just want to find some people to play with, you may alsoRecruitplayers for your team or join other teams. To do this, just click on the Recruit button above Strike (play button).
Teams are typically divided by game mode and the language preferred for the group. It’s a very easy way to meet some new people in the game, and it works very well to get a group quickly to tackle some matches together.
Alternatively, you can also visit the official Mecha Break Discord group and use the LFG lobbies there to find players on your level.
