How To Play Solo
After you complete the tutorial area andmake your way to the Roundtable Hold, simply interact with the Expedition at the center of this location like you would normally do to start an expedition.
From this menu,hover over to the Matchmaking Settings screen, and in this menu, at the very bottom, you see an option that saysExpedition Type, and there are two options to choose from.
If you decide to pick Single Player, the next time you start an Expedition,you will start it alone, and you can fully explore the map yourself.
Keep in mind that you need to change this setting back to Multiplayer if you want to play with friends or matchmake with other people.
Now, the disadvantage of playing solo, as of the time of writing this article, is thatit is not balanced or well optimized for the solo experience.
You will find yourself struggling a lot to keep upsince, while the enemy health scales down a bit, the damage does not so much, and your damage doesn’t get any additional bonus except from the leveling you do to your character and the weapons you use.
Not to forget that once you go down, you’re dead; there is no one to revive you, and you will have to start from day 1.
All of this is not to discourage you from giving it a try solo, but the current state of the game makes it much more challenging for solo players. However, we know that certain types of people would love to take that challenge.
