There’s a lot to do inCollege Football 26, and regardless of what you’re looking for in a college football game, it’s probably got something for you. Casual fans are going to have their standard modes represented, but those who want to control every aspect of running a college team are going to have a good time, too.
But which of these modes can you play with friends? Sports games can occasionally have glaring omissions when it comes to multiplayer. Luckily, CFB 26 has pretty much all the multiplayer options that you would expect, letting you and some pals have a good time with quite a few different modes.
Play Now/Play A Friend
Play Now is exactly what it sounds like: it’s a quick game of football.You and your friend can play with or against each other, and you can have up to four people overall included here, two on each team. This is true for both online and local play.
Dynasty
You canplay in a Dynasty with up to 32 different people(likely a built-in limitation in the engine built around Madden, since the NFL currently has 32 different teams). Dynasty sees you controlling your school’s team from top-to-bottom, putting success and failure exclusively in your hands.
Just like Quick Game, games can be played with four players overall.
This mode is anexclusively multiplayer mode where you play games as a team in a season of college football, with the end goal being to make it to the playoffs and win the National Championship. It’s got a little bit of that Dynasty flavor, but without all the micromanaging, if that isn’t your thing.
Ultimate Team
Ultimate Team is the same here as it is everywhere else: youbuild a team of some of college football’s best players to play on your team through a variety of different modes, some multiplayer and some single-player.
Is There Cross-Platform Play?
Thereis cross-platform play in CFB 26, with Xbox Series X and PS5 players able to play with or against each other, even joining in on the same leagues in Dynasty.
This can be toggled off in the settings if you’d prefer.
