The Wyrd can be dangerous, and all in Avalon know it, though not everyone believes it. For those touched by the Wyrd inTainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon, the threat it poses is all too real, and that’s assuming they can even speak to others about what happened to them.
Not only do all manner of supernatural creatures lurk in the Wyrd, but it’s also a primordial force, bending and shaping reality in mysterious ways, both good and bad. It’s all too easy for it to affect someone mentally, and one of the Dál Riata has unfortunately been caught in it and needs help.
How To Help Gro’derr
Tostart Age of Madness, you’ll first need tofind the Dál Riata villagein thenortheastern corner of the Horns Of The SouthRegion, and thengain entrythrough eitherprogressing to the main story quest,Shadow Of The Horns, or bypassing a Perception checkwith the guard, Mabyn.
It’sbest to enter during the main story quest, as otherwise you’ll be in danger of constantly trespassing through most of the village, and will need to fight a Dál Riata Berserker in a one-on-one matchif you’re caught.
Once inside, speak to Gro’derr, who’s standing next to atent on the right sideof the village by himself, thenfind Sob’derr, who isusually near or sitting by the campfire, or standing near one of thetents on the left sideof the village.
He’llgive you a bit of informationabout his brother Gro’derr and suggest youspeak to Therrov, who wearspurple robesand isoften near the campfire, like the other named Dál Riata.
During the conversation with Therrov, suggest that it’s better to helpand that,as an outsider, you’re willing to do it, and he’ll eventuallygive you the Elixir For Gro’derr. Speak with him andask him to drink the elixir, and you’llenter another realm.
As youapproach the altar, you’ll have a quickfight against a Mistlingwith regular health and drops. When it’s dead, goaround the altar on the rightand down the stairs to whereGro’derr is standing at the edge of a cliff.
Speak with him, andeither option will lead you to helping Gro’derr leavethe realm. On your way out, you’ll have tofight five Wyrdspirits:three by the altarand thenanother two closer to the gatewayback to the normal realm.
Make sure toloot the bodies of the Mistling and the Wyrdspririts for theirEthereal Cobwebs, as you’ll need a large supply of them to fuel your campfirethroughout the game.
You’ll findGro’derr kneeling by a tent on the left sideof the village, and you’ll beable to talk with himwithout him being plagued by the Wyrd. As a reward, you’ll not onlyget 1,000 EXP, but Gro’derr will alsogive you the Great Beast’s Boneamulet, whichincreases your Max Health by five percent.
