As you step into the Horns of the South compound in the southwestern section ofTainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon’sopening area, you quicklyrealize there are major forces at work around you.While King Arthur is busy chatting in your ear about his amnesia, you can attend to more important matters, like helping the Keepers with their issues.
You’ll be given one extremely meaningful task from Keeper Lanzo, your point of contact for the Pain Relief quest. While you might assume that you’ll be brewing a revolutionary salve to help in battle or something more noble, Keeper Lanzo tasks you with easing his bothersome toothache.
How To Start Pain Relief
Head to theHorns of the Southmain stronghold in thesouthwestern portionof the map and pass through the courtyard. Go up the stairs past Cillian andtoward Jann’s Quarters,directly across from where Fearghas usually stands.
Outside, you’llmeet Keeper Lanzo,who isn’t in a particularly good mood.
When you speak to him, he’ll bitterly complain about the hack doctors who have been giving him advice on how to handle his toothache. Lanzo even had his grandmother’s homemade recipe rebuffed and confiscated by the doctor.
Once you’ve chosen how to answer him,he’ll eventually mention Jann Heber,who told him he needs to have his tooth removed.
Ultimately, all Lanzo wants is his remedy, and he doesn’t want his tooth extracted. You have to go along with this to begin the quest.
Offer to speak to Jann on Lanzo’s behalf,who you’ll find inside his aptly-named quarters directly beside Lanzo. Once you do,you’ll receive the Pain Relief quest.
How To Brew The Toothache Remedy
Speak to Jannand select the top option in orange that mentions Lanzo’s toothache. Jann lets you know that the only cure is for Lanzo to have his tooth extracted, and nothing else can be done.
However, ask Jann about a remedy for Lanzo to continue the quest. He’ll mention thathe confiscated the recipe – ask him moreabout it, then ask what kinds of ingredients are included.
Jann then accidentally mentions the three ingredients to you:
Finishing this conversation willunlock the toothache recipe for Keeper Lanzo.
Luckily, although he doesn’t want to help you directly, Jann Heber has the exact ingredients you need to brew the remedy. The price of each item is as follows:
Alternatively, you canalso search aroundfor these items.Carnationsare available fromaround the large treeadjacent to the central area of the stronghold, while you’ll findsagein acrate near Jann’s Quartersandalescattered throughout the world inbarrels.
Once you have the necessary ingredients, use the alchemy station next to Jann Heber and brew the remedy.

With the potion in hand, head back to Lanzo and give it to him, completing the quest and earning you the following rewards:
