Before you embark on your story inRimworld, it’s crucial to understand the very foundation upon which your narrative is built: the Scenario System. More than just a difficulty selector, scenarios dictate everything from your starting colonists and their belongings to the very conditions of your chosen planet.

While it’s totally fine to simply jump into a game with one of the default settings (the classic is the classic for a reason, after all!), it can be a ton of fun to customise exactly what sort of start you’re after and how it’ll affect the game and story you’re trying to build.

Scenarios define yourinitial conditions, posingimmediate challenges and opportunitiesthat shape your colony’s early game and often influence its long-term trajectory.
