In theCrystal of Atlan, you are immersed in a world where magic and technology coexist. you may traverse the world of Atlan and follow the story either solo or with your friends. But either way, the game gives you some faithful companions to have by your side.
Pets not only fight with you, but also give you assistance in crafting. Not only that, but they also have their own very powerful finisher move that you’re able to call on alongside yours to help defeat your enemies. Let’s discuss how you can level up your pets, their abilities, and how to evolve your pets.
How To Unlock Pets
First things first, you need to know how you unlock pets. Luckily, ithappens naturally through the main story progression, so you don’t have to worry about missing it.
Sometime during Chapter 2: Orphans, Rats, and “the Drug” you’ll meet anAssistant Jackalope inside Glenn’s shopwhile talking to Ellie. It should happen shortly after your character reaches level 26.
Aside from your first pet, there are other pets you can get in a variety of different ways. Some you can get throughdaily login rewards, from the store, or by participating in events or arenas.
How To Level Up Your Pets
Your pets will naturally gain experience completing quests with you, but there are alsotwo items you’ll earn through your adventuringthat you can use to level them up.
These items are:
Having the books won’t be enough, though. You will need tomake sure you also have enough goldto level up your pet, so spend your money wisely.
Once you’ve unlocked pets, you can open your pet manager by first opening your menu,then clicking on Pets(which will be right underneath the Skill tab).
In the pet manager, select the pet you want to upgrade, thenclick the blue Level-Up buttonin the bottom right corner.
The next window will show you how many of each book you have. Select the book you want and how many you want applied to your pet,then click Upgrade to finalize it.
Pet Abilities
Every pet will come with four skills each. The first skill is their ultimate skill,the only active skill they have. This is the one that will appear on your skill HUD next to your own equipped skills.
The other three skills are all passive, and they vary depending on the pet. These include skills for healing, damage, crafting assistance, or gathering assistance.
To upgrade your pets' skills, you’ll needtwo special types of fruit:
You can obtain these fruits, along with experience books,by completing quests, opening chests, or participating in events.
Once you have more than one pet, you’re able to set one as your Main Pet, andanother as your Secondary Pet. When you’ve used the Main Pet’s ability in battle, you’ll then be able to use the Secondary Pet’s skill during the cooldown window.
How To Evolve Pets
Evolving your petssignificantly buffs your pets' stats, increases the strength and effectiveness of their finisher skill, and also improves their assistive abilities.
To evolve your pets,you’ll need an item called Heart Of [Pet’s Name]. So, for the Assistant Jackalope, it’ll be a Heart Of Assistant Jackalope.
Sometimes,you may receive something called a Contract for a pet. If you already own that particular pet, the contract will insteadconvert into a Heartthat can be used to evolve the pet.
You will receive enough Heart Of Assistant Jackalope tofully evolve your Jackalope petby progressing through the main story line.
Once you have the item necessary, open your pet manager and select the pet you want to evolve. Then,select the next tier and click the Evolve buttonin the bottom right corner.
When you’ve fully evolved your first pet, you’llunlock an achievement called Growth History.
