Nobody deserves to feel like life is no longer worth living, especially someone like Hirrus, a man who’s struggling and suffering, convinced that there’s no way out of his misery. His plight is tragic, and his request for help is unlike any other quest you’ll encounter inThe Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.

When you meet Hirrus, he doesn’t ask for a weapon or a magical artifact - he asks something far more unusual, something that might make you question the nature of his suffering. This quest takes you on a journey that’s both unsettling and thought-provoking, but you are here to help people after all, right?

Rewards for helping Hirrus - Oblivion Remastered

Strangely enough, the man wants you to end his life to stop his suffering, and he was hoping that you would be the one to do the deed for him.

How To Complete The Final Resting Quest

There are multiple ways in which you can kill Hirrus, and you can get very creative with it. You can sneak behind him in a dark alley and take him out, or you can simply attack him in plain sight.

However, one particular death that would be ideal is the one we’ll talk about.

Every evening,Hirrus stands right at the top of a long drop near the palace, where you’re able to follow him there and then speak to him.

During the conversation, you will have the option to push him, making his death look like an accident and putting the poor man out of his misery.

Doing it this way won’t trigger any guards or a bounty on you, and it seems like the ideal way to end his suffering.

Now that he’s dead, loot his corpse to get his house keyand make your way to his house, which is just a bit south. Inside, head to the upper floor.

On the cupboard just in front of the bed, you will findthe jewel box containing Hirrus Clutumnus’s Willandthe Ring of Happinessas part of your reward.
