Rimworldis a pretty massive game. There are tons of resources to find and not always a lot of direction to help you find them, and you’ll need to keep your eyes peeled in case you discover totally new ones unexpectedly. Luckily, Cloth is actually quite easy to find and gather.
Cloth is a very useful material on the Rim. It’s a fabric material that can be used to make furniture and clothes, and it’s handy in that you don’t need to kill any animals to do so (which would annoy any colonies or pawns who disagree with killing animals!).
How To Get Cloth
Getting Cloth is as simple asgrowing Cotton Plants! To do this, you’ll first need toplace a Growing Zone, which can be done from the Zone section of the Architect menu.
Once you’ve placed a Growing Zone down, you can edit the crop that your pawns will grow there.Cotton Plants are available without any research, and take eight days to grow. They don’t requiretoomuch light to grow either, so they’re quite an easy crop to manage.
When youharvest fully-grown Cotton Plants, you’ll instantly get Cloth- you don’t need to process cotton using a machine or crafting space, which is handy.
While you can use leather and other fabrics to craft lots of things, like clothes,Cloth is actually a required material for some recipes, including Medicine (the actual item called Medicine, rather than the general category) and some furniture items.
As with most items in the game, it is also possible topurchase Cloth from certain tradersif they have it, but it’s so easy to grow it that it’s not worth waiting for such a trader if you’re in need of any.
