Every guild inOblivion Remasteredhas its own questline with a plethora of rewards to collect along the way, andthe Dark Brotherhood is no different.Once you’ve experienced one of the best questlines in Oblivion Remastered and become the Dark Brotherhood’s Listener, your job isn’t done, as you can still reap the rewards of your efforts.
Being the Listener comes with its perks, including the chance to complete this simple quest once per week to make your pockets 200 gold heavier each time. Whileyou’ll be swimming in goldas you level up and complete more quests, this is one of the best early-game sources of unlimited gold.
How To Start Whispers Of Death
Once youcomplete the Honor Thy Mother quest and become the Listenerof the Dark Brotherhood, you’re instantly transported back to the Cheydinhal Sanctuary to speak with Arquen.
When you do, you’ll begin the Whispers of Deathrepeatable Dark Brotherhood quest.

How To Get Unlimited Gold From The Night Mother’s Quest
Arquen will explain that it’s your job as the Listener tospeak with the Night Mother via the statue of the Lucky Old Lady in Bravil once per weekto collect a list of names and locations of people who require the Dark Brotherhood’s help.
Unlike previous quests, you can speak to the Lucky Old Lady’s statue at any time, at which point she’ll tell you the name of the person who needs your help and their location.
None of the locations are actually available since they’re all outside of Cyrodiil in other parts of Tamriel.
Once you speak with The Night Mother, you’ll have the contact’s name and your quest will update, so you canhead back to Cheydinhal right away.
What Rewards Do You Get For Being The Dark Brotherhood’s Listener?
Speak with Arquen again, and she thanks you for the information and provides you withyour reward: 200 gold.
You can return to the Lucky Old Lady and Arquen once every week to perform this quick errand and earn a small chunk of gold.
Aside from the gold reward,Arquen will also grow the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary, adding newmembersperiodically who you may command tofollow you as a companion.
Find thesecompanionsin the Dark Brotherhood Training Room or Living Quarters, where you’re able to speak to the Murderers and gain their help.
