Snake Bananza: Charged Climbis a Challenge Course on theRadiance LayerofDonkey Kong Bananzathat asks you to use your newly obtainedsnake power-up. Since this course canonly be accessed from a high ledgeabove the fast travel point via a series of stepping stones, it’simpossible to reach until you have the required power-upanyway.

In this side-scrolling course, you’ll need to use the spring loaded jump mechanic to achieve new heights and clear an array of obstacles. It’s a great way to test out - or flex - your new powers, but it also requires a little bit of thinking to get all three Bananadium Gems wrapped up.

How To Reach The Challenge Course At The Top Of The Radiance Layer

Before we even get into beating the level, you might have seen it on your map and wondered how you even get up there. The first thing to note is youcannot without the snake power-up. If you haven’tcompleted the Bananza on the Radiance Layer(which means taking theCDto theElderand beating theirchallenge), you can’t get there.

Assuming you have, first head to theTeeleport Stationon the Radiance Layer. From here,jump uponto theice tunnel’s roof, turn around, andjump back to the floating platform. You can only make these jumps with inSnake Bananza mode. After that, makeone last jumpto the Challenge Course opening, and head inside.

How To Get The First Bananadium Gem In Snake Bananza: Charged Climb

As you go through the level, you will need tojump up through soft grey platformsto reach the next level. However, justbeforeyou reach thesecond Bananadium Gemon the raised podium, you’ll finda cube of soft greyunderfoot.

Punch downwhen standing on this, and you’llburrowdown until you reach abasement. Down here, you’ll find thefirst Bananadium Gemwaiting for you to grab it.

How To Complete Snake Bananza: Charged Climb

Jumping up onto tiles will only get you so far. In the second half of the level, right after you grab the second Bananadium Gem, theelectric wallswill startmoving much faster. This is where yoursecond powercomes in.

While in snake mode,holding Ywill turn the worldslow motion. You’ll need this if you’re tomake the final climb, so just after getting thesecond Bananadium Gemwhen thewall starts to move, hold Y before making your ascent. With the slow mo in action, you should be able to complete the rest of the course just like you completed the first.
