The Tempest Layer ofDonkey Kong Bananzacontinues to make use of a new resource discovered on the Resort Layer, withLiftoff Oreused to lift Donkey Kong to new areas. Its these fragments you must use in Liftoff Labyrinth to get through it unscathed, but also to findthe hidden Bananadium Gem.
The central Banandium Gem is hidden away, and you’ll need to use the Liftoff Ore to reach it. Donkey Kong Bananza has a way of hiding things in plain sight, especially when it comes to making creative use of the different terrain abilities, and Liftoff Labyrinth continues that pattern here.
Where To Find The Middle Bananadium Gem In Liftoff Labyrinth
As with a few of these courses, finding the first and last Bananadium Gem is pretty straightforward. You get thefirst one in the middle of the course, given to you on anunmissable podiumin the middle of the platform. And likewise, you getthe last oneat the very end of the level, again on anunmissable platform, this one right by the exit.
However, the one in the middle is much harder to find. That’s likely the one you’re here for, so let’s get down to it. When you come to the sequence ofthree sinking platforms, jump alongto the thirdusing the Liftoff Ore. When you get to the third, the natural thing to do is grab more ore ahead straight up.
While this will progress you in the level, it will also mean you miss the Banandium Gem, so don’t do that. Instead, grab some Liftoff Ore and float to the right, where you’ll finda hidden passage.
The best way to do this is tolet the podium sink downas far as it can go, andwalk to the righthand ledge. This will give you the most space to make it to the gap before you hit the lava of the ceiling.
Inside the hidden passage, you’ll seea rock wall. Punch through itto the end, then punch downto the bottom. Finally, punch throughto the right again, and you’llemerge in a small roomwith themissing Bananadium Gem.
