From the beginning ofRune Factory: Guardians Of Azuma, the main goal of the first part of the story will be quite clear. You have to find the regions for each god of Azuma and bring them back. The god of the heavens will be the final one on this journey, and you’ll eventually reach the Heavenly Realm while looking for them.
However, this area is unique and vastly different from everything you’ve done so far, as it uses the mechanic of hidden walls blocking your path. If you want to get through this area, you’ll have to find your way through the hidden maze.
How To Reach The Heavenly Realm
The path to the Heavenly Realm is quite straightforward as you simply have to go through the main story until you see Kanata in your dreams. Thiswill happen after you go through the Underworld area with Kaiand help him get his power back, where you will also get the Sacred Staff as the very end as Kanata’s Sacred Treasure.
Once you’ve had this dream, Kai will wake you up in the morning and ask you to meet him at the end of the Heavenly Isle in the skies.Reach the location and he’ll directly open up the Heavenly Realm’s entrancefor you, letting you embark on the journey to find Kanata.
Heavenly Realm Bottom Part Guide
When you look at the map of the Heavenly Realm, you can easily divide it into two halves: the upper and bottom halves. You spawn at the very bottom of the area, and as soon as you take a few steps forward, you’ll find your path being blocked by the invisible wall. This is where the Sacred Staff’s usage comes into play.
When you have the staff equipped,you can see many hidden walls and pathways appear. This will let you easily get through the first part and then use a hidden bridge to get to the middle area. You’ll constantly be fighting light enemies while going through the Heavenly Realm, and you can deal high damage to them using the Sacred Mask.
If you have any dark-based weapons like talismans at this point, it’s great to bring one heresince you’ll be dealing much higher damage.
After defeating all the enemies in the middle area, you may access thecooking pot in the middle by jumping through the open spot with your staff equipped. You can also head to the room on the western side where you can take the left path through the hidden walls to get the chest, and the right one to get a red shrine.
Here, you can ignore the eastern roomas it only leads to a fight without many rewards, unless you want to challenge yourself. Reach the top part of the middle area with your staff and you’ll see another bridge connecting you to the upper half. However, before going all the way up, you can take the right when the path gets divided.
This willlead you to a few secluded islands on the eastern side,one of which has an onigiri spot. If you see a gap between the hidden bridge, you’re able to jump through using your Sacred Parasol. Once you’ve claimed all the items here, you can head back to the same path and reach the upper half.
Heavenly Realm Upper Part guide
The upper part of the Heavenly Realm is where all the main puzzles are, but you’ll first have to go through a tough battle as soon as you enter it.Defeat all the enemies here and move forward with the staff in your hand. Enter the courtyard and go through the gap in the hidden wall on the right side, turning left as you get past the first wall.
Turn left again as soon as you can and you’ll see a slope leading back up. Use this slope and go along the alley until you reach the two butterfly statues. From these statues,you can jump through the railing with your Sacred Parasoland you’ll find the bridge connecting you to the western room.
However, you won’t be able to get the treasure directly in this room. Instead, before you go through any hidden walls, head to the right edge of the room and you’ll find a hidden path going through the outside.You’ll have to time your jumps with the Secret Parasol herewhile remembering the locations of all the platforms.
You can open the flowers on your path byusing your Parasol’s attack when you’re near them, and they’ll reveal a platform you can step on.
Once you reach the other side while parkouring, you’ll have to come back the same way after claiming all the treasure.You can then head back to the middle part and go down the slope you used earlier. Go straight to the other end of the courtyard and you’ll be able to use normal stairs to get back in the hallway.
There will be a room with two chests in front of you here. Use thehidden path to jump to the brown chest and then a Parasol jump to get to the red one. Move back out to the hallway and you’ll have to go through the courtyard one more time before reaching the eastern end with a Frog Statue waiting to greet you.
You can enter the quest area in the Heavenly Realm already here, but if you go further to the right, you’ll find the hardest puzzle with the floating Frog Statue in the next courtyard. Before entering the courtyard, you can first get the Frog Statue outside of it and then take the hidden path on the south to get to the bottom Frog Statue.
How To Get The Floating Frog Statue
If you want to get all the floating items in the second courtyard of the Heavenly Realm, you’ll have to use the three mechanisms that you’re able to find on the eastern side.While looking at the mechanisms, first activate the middle and the right one. This will let you jump on the two glass panels in front and then to the left, revealing a path on the edge of the hidden wall ahead.
Take this path and you can press two red buttons toremove the three glass panels blocking your way to the middle. Head out from the newly created hole and get back to the fan mechanisms. This time, only activate the mechanism on the left and deactivate the other two. Go back through the hole in the middle and you’ll see three glass panels that you can jump through.
From the third panel, jump to thehidden platform and use your Sacred Fan towards the giant fan in front of you. This will create two more glass panels, leading you directly to the red chest. Finally, to get the floating Frog Statue, you have to activate the middle and right mechanisms again while taking the same path on the left.
Once you’re on the hidden platform, go a bit further than before and you’ll find a gap in the path. Jump through it, get on the other side, and you may press the red button that leads you to the frog. This will finish your exploration of the Heavenly Realm.
