Cutterays are used to cut through various materials in the open-world, allowing you to harvest various resources like stones, ore, and mechanical parts. The best of these is Tarl’s Cutteray, which is a unique schematic you may find all across Arrakis.
But, how do you find this scehmatic and fabricate it. There are a few different places you can look. So, if you’re looking to find the best cutteray in the game, look no further than this guide. Here’s what you need to know to find and craft Tarl’s Cutteray.
How To Find Tarl’s Cutteray
As mentioned, Tarl’s Cutteray isa unique schematic. This means that you’ll have to get slightly lucky andfind it in a container as part of a drop.
However, just because Tarl’s Cutteray isa randomly dropped item, doesn’t mean you have to scour all of Arrakis for it.
There are two areasof the map in the O’Odham where it’smore likely to drop.
If you visit Stonestep Village in search of the cutteray,verify you have a Planar SuspensorBelt with you.
In each one of these locations, you’re likely tofind rare cylindrical cheststhat have a chance of dropping the schematic for Tarl’s Cutteray.
Keep in mind that, as a schematic,there is no guarantee of the chest at these locations dropping Tarl’s Cutteray.
You may have to visit each location multiple times to get the drop.
If you’re visiting these locations and having no luck, your next best bet is tobuy the schematicfrom another playerat The Exchangein Arrakeen or Harko Village.
If you go to a drop location and don’t get the schematic you’re after, you’ll have towait 45 minutes for the chest to repopulate.

Once you’ve obtained the schematic, you can nowgather materials to craft Tarl’s Cutteray, Keep in mindyou will need a Survivor Fabricatorto do so.

Similar to the schematic itself,Spice-Infused Duraluminum Dust is typically found in chestsand is a random drop, making this cutteray difficult to craft.
Once you’ve gathered the above materials, simplyfabricate the cutteray using your Survival Fabricator, and you’ll be good to go.
If you really want the cutteray, but don’t have access yet to items like Thermoelectric Coolers, you may alwaysbuy them on the Exchange as well.
