How To Make Sour Herring And Cheese
When youmeet the curious character named Rumpolt Finnini,he’ll have a request for you. Having been trapped in his kitchen for gods know how long, he wants you to acquire the ingredients for his culinary masterpiece–Sour Herring and Cheese.
He wants you to understand how important this dish is, as he has one of the most refined palettes in Avalon. Rumpolt willmark the locationon your map so you can gofish up some really special herring.
Where To Get A Really Special Herring
On your map, there’s amarker placed on the small islandto the easternmost reaches of the Horns of the South. Swim there from the Ruined Broch tofind an old fishing boat and rodwaiting for you.
Pick up the rod andcast a line into the seawhere the marker sows you. You’ll have to wait for the fish to bite before you can reel it in, so be patient.
If there’s no bite within three clicks of the bobber, try casting the line again.
Once you get the really special herring reeled in,head back to the underground kitchenwhere you met Rumpolt.
Where To Get Cheese
Head down the stairs andpick the door on lock on the door to the rightto enter Rumpolt’s kitchen. He won’t mind if you use it, and you’llfind plenty of cheesestockpiled here.
Grab a piece, then use the kitchen’s cooking pot toput both a cheese wedge and really special herring together. You’ll get a very aromatic dish that Rumple can smell a mile away. Bring it to him to complete the quest andunlock the Rumpolt’s Revenge spell!
How To Use Rumpolt’s Revenge
With this spell, you canconsume a portion of your HP to summon a cheese wedge, so you effectively have anunlimited supply of cheeseat your fingertips.
Additionally, you cancharge the spellwhile targeting a living creature,like a deer or a person. Doing so will puta cheese icon above their head, and when the icon is fully gone,the target will explode into dozens of cheese wedges!
It won’t work on every target, but as you continue to get stronger, keep testing it out!
Tounlock the Ironic achievement/trophy, you’ll need to equip the spell anduse it on Rumpolt. It’s oddly satisfying to watch him turn into cheese, andhe’s the first NPC you may easily use it onwithout getting caught.
Note that using the spell willtrigger detection and count as attacking, so you will want another weapon in your offhand in case you need to fight.
Turning someone into cheese is no joke!The NPC will die and drop all of their itemswhile also leaving a large pile of cheese behind.
