Once you enter the Spring Village inRune Factory: Guardians Of Azumaand learn the general plot of the game in the prologue, you’ll then be asked to go outside the village. This is where the combat side of the game starts and you consistently have to defeat enemies to progress further.

However, as you’re exploring the Spring Village outskirts, you’ll notice a bridge connecting you to the larger part of the land. The bridge will be broken and you won’t have any other way to get to the other side until you repair it.

How To Repair The Bridge

If you want to repair the first bridge in Spring Region, you’ll essentially have to progress the story quite a bit. When you first leave the village,it’ll be to search for the carpenter called Takumi. In search of this villager, you’ll have to go through the Abandoned Shrine and fight your first boss called Mezuki.

Once Takumi is back in Spring Village, you’ll get a few filler quests to make a bow, collect some items for Takumi to build a house, plant some fields, get to know Suzu, and other little tasks. Once you get the task to place five buildings in the development zone, it’ll be followed up by you checking up on Takumi and him mentioningthat he needs you to reach the Guardian’s Grove in Spring Region.

The village will already be repaired as soon as you finish this dialogue with him, and you can cross it normally.

There will also be ahidden path leading you to the other side on the northern edgeof the river once the bridge is repaired.

As you explore the rest of the Spring Region, you’ll find another broken bridge leading you to Isolated Islet. You can’t repair this bridge, but you can get to the secluded area by progressing the story and unlocking the Sacred Parasol.
