Among the many treasures you may find inPalia’s Elderwood, you can craft relics that give you and your party unique buffs while hunting and foraging in the infected forest.

These buffs include being able to interact with infected items, locate infected items, and more. Let’s go over how you can get these relics, what you’ll need to craft and upgrade them, and what each relic does.

How To Unlock Relics

Before you’re able to start crafting relics, you’ll first need totake the strange artifactyou found in Elderwood to Caleri and Elouisa. This will trigger thePieces of the Pastquest.

Once you complete that quest, you’ll be able toturn in pieces of artifacts you find to Elouisa. With each completed artifact, you’ll receive Elouisa’s Fun Bucks. you may then use them topurchase relic schematics from Elouisa’s Artifact Storein the southern area of the Elderwood Stables.

If you find yourself getting duplicate artifacts, you canunlock Trading Posts by talking to Zeki, and then use them to trade artifacts with other players.

Every Relic And What They Do

The first time you buy a relic schematic,a quest associated with that relic will activate. For each quest you have to first talk to Elouisa, who will instruct you to craft the relic at the relic forge (behind the map) once you have all the ingredients.

The relics and their associated quests are:

Relics can only be equipped whilestanding near the forge at the Elderwood Stables, and you may only have equipped one at a time. Additionally, if you are in a party with other players and each person wears a different relic,everyone receives the buff from all relics equipped.

Along with the relic schematics,there are two other itemsyou can purchase from Elouisa’s Artifact Store:

When upgrading a relic to the next tier,you will need to unequip the relic you are trying to upgrade. Also, you can’t purchase the schematic for the next tier until you’ve crafted the previous tier.

Brighteye Amulet

Tier I

Gives you a small buff to all infected essence gathered while equipped.

Tier II

Gives you a medium buff to all infected essence gathered while equipped.

Tier III

GIves you a large buff to all infected essence gathered while equipped.

Tier IV

Gives you a massive buff to all infected essence gathered while equipped.

Tracks infected forage and bugs while equipped.

Tracks infected forage, bugs, and fish while equipped.

Tracks infected forage, bugs, fish, and creatures.

Bag of Illusion

Allows you to pick up infected forage without an Elderwood Potion.

Allows you to interact with infected forage and bugs without special tools.

Allows you to interact with infected forage, bugs, and fish without special tools.

Allows you to interact with infected forage, bugs, fish, and creatures without special tools.

Guiding Lantern

Boosts the tier of other relics equipped by party members to Tier II.
