What Are Bamboo Shoots?
As mentioned,Bamboo Shoots are a rare resourcein Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
Bamboo Shoots work like currency, similar to the way that Red Mercury works.
However, unlike Red Mercury,Bamboo Shoots are used to purchase weapons, spells, and other goodsthroughout the map.
Oftentimes, you won’t have more than two or three Bamboo Shoots in your possession.
Before spending your Bamboo Shoots, save up a fewso that you can see what options you have in terms of upgrades, weapons, and spells.
Where To Find Bamboo Shoots
To find Bamboo Shoots, you need tolook for Bamboo Sprouts, which aretiny sentient pieces of Bamboothat run around on the map.
If you’re not sure what to look for,refer to the image above, or you cantake a look at your autosave icon.
Bamboo Sprouts do reappear in the same locationover and over again.
So,once you find one, make a note of where you spotted itso that you can return there and collect another Bamboo Shoots whenever necessary.
Typically, Bamboo Sprouts appear inlocations that meet the following criteria:
In these areas,Bamboo Sprouts will pop up from the ground and start running awayfrom you.
To gain a Bamboo Shoot, you will need toattack the Bamboo Sproutwith a sword or other ranged spell attack.
Bamboo Sprouts only appear for a limited time, so when you see one, act fast!
Details
Near Panda’s Cave
Just below the Shu Sanctuary, near the path to Doomwillow Beach, there is a cave with a Panda inside.
A Bamboo Sprout always appears just outside this cave.
Above the Narrow Path
There is a bridgeyou must cross over the river after you beat the first Tang Maid in the cave,near the start of the game.
Near this bridge, there area series of switchback trails. A Bamboo Sprout usually appears on these trails.
Tang Palace
Near the Shrine behind the Tang Palace, head down the path to the right in the direction of the palace itself.
On the wooden bridge, you’ll spot a Bamboo Sprout.
If you miss your chance with the Bamboo Sprout, eitherreturn to the same location once you’ve died or once you’ve prayed at a Shrine and Entered the Dream. This resets enemies, including Bamboo Sprouts.
How To Use Bamboo Shoots
Once you’ve gained Bamboo Shoots, as mentioned,you can then trade these items in for goods.
The best place to do this is with the Panda merchant in the cavenear the Shu Sanctuary.
It’seasy to teleport back to the Shu Sanctuaryshrine and then find Panda in his cave, which rests on the path below the sanctuary.
Head down toward the river from the Sanctuary, as if you’re going to the burning path to Doomwillow Beach. Then, hook a left and follow the path to the cave. Inside, you’ll find Panda, who will sell you weapons and spells for Bamboo Shoots.
