Sure, you’re not romancing your actual, literal furniture but instead their embodied personality, but in practice you are, in fact, romancing your household objects. Or trying your best to, at least.
There are plenty of objects in your house that go unthought of most of the time, fading so seamlessly into the background. And the eternal falsity of the plastic plant is one that never fades. Chlorophyll rendered as in amber within its synthetic frame, a deciduous plant turned into an unnatural conifer. That, in essence, is Prissy Plastique. And she so yearns to be the real deal.
How To Meet Prissy Plastique
Meeting Prissy Plastique isn’t quite as simple as the vast majority of other Dateables in the game.She is locked away in a room you must find the key forbefore you can engage in any conversations with you. So let’s get started by finding this key.
you may initially learn about Prissy Plastique’s existence through Rebel, even before you can access her, when she gives you a Roomer by telling you to urinate on a fake plant. Classy.
How To Enter The Attic
We have a full guide onhow to enter the atticif you’d like a more detailed walkthrough, though here is the shortened version. To enter the attic, we need to go on a bit of a treasure hunt. Somewhat literally. you may find your way to the attic key by yourself, though it is more than likely thatyou will encounter it while going through Beau’s storyon a subterranean adventure which leads you to the crawlspace beneath the house.
If you want to forgo all this, however, you can directly enter the crawlspace yourself from the very beginning of the game. Just head to the boiler room attached to your home office androll aside the carpet by interacting with it. This will unveil Trap Dorian, another variant of Dorian who is also quite shirtless. Chat your way past him to enter the crawlspace.
you may find two three Dateables down here - the mouse trap, Vaugn Trapp, the time capsule, Bodhi, and the one we’re actually looking for, Keith.Keith is a skeleton key, and is the only one who can actually open the door to the attic. Once you’ve picked him up, just interact with the attic door to speak with Dorian, and Keith will open the way.
Keep in mind that if you already spoke with Trap Dorian to enter the crawlspace, you will need towait until the next day to talk with him againto open the attic door.
Once the attic door is opened,it remains opened permanently, allowing you to come and go as you please without having to waste a charge of the Dateviators talking with Dorian or Keith.
Finding Prissy In The Attic
Prissy Plastique is right beside the door after you enter the attic, surrounded by cobwebs and darkness. A sadly fitting fate for a plastic plant that gains no true benefit from sunlight. Interact with her for a quick introduction.
Being a plastic plant,Prissy never moves from this spot, so you can always come back to her right here, never having to worry where she’s run off to.
Her position can change, butthis is only after you achieve her ending. More on that later.
Making Prissy’s Dreams Come True
After chatting with Prissy Plastique for the first time, she will make clear her goal.She wants to become a real plant, and she will do anything it takes to achieve that. Not as menacing as it sounds, this mainly culminates in practicing a bunch of old wives' tales on herself in hopes of it turning her plastic body into something much more natural. A bit like reverse plastic surgery.
In practice, this is pretty simple. Prissy doesn’t send you around the house looking for new items or interacting with other Dateables to find new information. She does all the fetch work herself, andjust asks you to help her once she’s gathered them up. How does this work? Pretty easily, honestly.
Prissy Plastique is very straightforward.You just have to choose the supportive dialogue options. Don’t lie either though. You don’t want to get her hopes up or be unnecessarily cruel. Put all the enthusiasm you have into your actions with her. This involves a few different steps. Chanting magic words, spready powder, wiggling, pouring vinegar on her with a watering can.
Yes, it might seem at first like nothing is happening to her, but keep at it. Never tell her to give up. Even when it seems like things are having no effect, just keep encouraging her.Dreams can come true.
How To Change Your Relationship Status With Prissy
As with the vast majority of Dateables in the game,Prissy comes with three endings total, and they’re all pretty straightforward to achieve, too. Let’s check them out.
Love
Getting Prissy to love you is as simple as achieving her dream. There really is no grand tactic to this. When she thinks up her mad schemes to become a real plant,support them and dedicate yourself entirely to the task. No need for lies or any tactical usage of dialogue. Just be honest, jovial, and caring, and you’ll earn her Love.
Friendship
Friendship is much the same, and you may still choose it even if you meet the requirements for the Love ending already. Otherwise, it’s being supportive in a less dramatic way. Be a bit more reserved in your support, but not enough to put her down, and of courseavoid any and all flirty options. Prissy is quite a loving person.
Hate
Just like the previous two endings, there is no grand tactic to achieving Prissy’s Hate ending other thansimply choosing the hateful and cruel options in conversation. Denounce her journey to become a real plant, half-ass every ritual with her towards that journey. You can’t outright refuse, but she will be furious with you for being so hateful along the way.
Decorating Your Home With Prissy
There is one final extra tidbit to Prissy that changes once you achieve her ending. All of her hard work pays off and she truly does become a real plant. As a result of this, she is no longer confined to her plastic pot in the attic, and instead spreads herself across the whole house.She can still be found in the attic, but she is so much more now.
After getting her ending,Prissy will decorate the entire house with plants, from hanging ones on the ceiling to potted plants sitting on the window. And each and every one of these becomes an object you’re able to interact with her from. It’s like you never have to be without her, and it makes the house so much more lively and colourful to boot.
