As you work to uncover the secrets of Avalon and the Red Plague inTainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon, you’ll cover a lot of ground. From sandy beaches with lurking Drowners to mist-filled forests where wolves hunt for food, there’s plenty to see, and if you need a quick trip, there’s always fast travel.

But if you haven’t found the lanterns that let you fast travel or just want to see the sights while working on your next quest, why not travel in style with your own horse? However, you won’t be buying them from a reputable seller. Luxuries like horses are in short supply, and you’ll have to take one from someone else.

If yougo to the Hunter’s Camp, you can speak with Margh and start theDead As Dreams side quest, which counts towards gaining favor with Fearghasfor themain quest, Shadow Over The Horns.

When you hit theArchspire’s fast travel point, go northeast a few steps to where thebridge has collapsed in the center. Beneath there, you’llfind a small campsitewith some crates and barrels to loot, aDesperate Peasant enemy, and a singlehorse near a tent.

If you go to thefront of the horse, you’ll have anoption to pet them, but if youstand next to the saddle, you’ll have a newprompt to mountŚwierkoń.

If you’ve alreadygone to the second region, Cuanacht, there are three other horses you can get: one by a Disgraced Knight enemy near the southern bridge, and Daisy and Clover, next to the Farmlands fast travel point, but taking those two is considered stealing.

Daisy can be bought for 300 or 250 Gold if you go to Rob and Gil’s house at the Farmlands, witness the scene between them, then speak with Rob about it.

This will now give youpermanent access to that horseas a mount, and itcan be calledin most locations byopening the Quick Use Menu, then selecting thehorse iconon the left.

Horsesshare most of the same controlsas you, withSprint and Jump being the samebefore, theability to move backwardsto change direction orslow down, but youcan’t attack while mounted.

There areother horses to findbesides Świerkoń and the Disgraced Knight’s horse, and the current horse you call will be overwritten when you mount a new one.

For the most part, you’ll want touse the camera to control the horse’s direction, but if you need toturn quickly or in place, it’s best to use theLeft Stick or keys assigned for movement, and theSecondary Action dismounts you.

Any horse you find has afaster walk and sprint speed than you, allowing some fairly fast land traversal, unless you’re significantly investing in movement speedvia the Skill Tree or with accessories that boost it.

They also allow you tomove quickly while encumbered, making themgreat for getting around with an inventory full of lootto sell to a merchant.
