Chapter two in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army brings you to the new area of Ginza-cho, which you’ll need to explore in both the regular world and the Dark Realm to successfully navigate. Capture the Red Cape and free the rickshaw driver quickly!
Make New Weapons And Disover Ginza-cho
As soon as you begin the second chapter of Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, you’ll be at Narumi Detective Agency and will meet Tae Asakura fro the first time. She’s a reporter in the capital who you’ll come to work with closely throughout the game, so watch the cutscene with her and Narumi discussing the Red Cape before leaving to go back out into Tsukubo-cho.
When you leave, Gouto will tell you you’ve gotten a letter from Yatagarasu that permits the use of Sword Alchemy to power up and create new weapons for Raidou to use in combat. To begin making them, you’ll want togo to the Goumadenbefore venturing out toward the story’s first major waypoint. Victor will give you a brief tutorial, and you’ll likely have enough to upgrade Raidou’s weapon for the first time here, too.
With a stronger weapon in hand, hop onto the streetcar and make your way over toGinza-cho, the next major neighborhood in the game, to progress the main story.
Ginza-Cho And Fukugawa-Cho
Explore this new area of the city as much as you’d like – there’s plenty of loot to discover, case files to solve, and Aril Rifts to purge here, too – before finally going toward theconstruction overpassmarked on your map, in the southern part of the area.
Here, you’ll be stopped by a young woman, and Gouto will orient you toward a restaurant after your conversation to glean more info.
Follow his lead and take the streetcar toRestaurant Ryugu Entrancewhen you’re ready, and grab the shining object from the back corner of the area before speaking to the woman here. After some pressing about Kiyoshi Daidouji, she’ll tell you she’s looking for a rickshaw driver namedDenpachi, who hasn’t shown up for work that day.
He lives in theRed Light Districtin the northern part of the city, so head up toFukugawa-choto look around. Go inside of the large building when you first arrive,Daikoku-Yu, a bathhouse in which you’ll need to best two Yakuza members in simple hand-to-hand combat. Finish the fight and speak to the Yakuza boss for information before being sent into the Dark Realm area for this region, Dark Fukugawa-cho.
Free The Rickshaw Driver
Finding Denpachi In Dark Fukugawa-Cho
You’ll find Denpachi’s house not far from Daikoku-Yu, but he’s not home when you arrive. A cursory search of the area will eventually lead you to alocked prison cell, where you’ll find Denpachi eager to see another person in asea of the red-clad soldierswho’d taken him prison and filled the Dark Realm. His cell is locked, of course, so you’ll need to find a way to free him.
Thankfully, the salesman who ownsKounno-yasells a lockpick, so use the portal near the cell to carefully leave Dark Fukugawa-cho and head to the general goods store. The lockpickcosts ¥2,000to purchase, so come prepared with some cash or be ready to part with your collectibles to make up the difference.
He doesn’t stock this before or after you buy it – no grabbing the lockpick early to save some time backtracking, unfortunately.
With so many soldiers in Dark Fukugawa-cho, you’ll need tore-enter the Dark Realma different way, so head back toShinodavia the streetcar and visit theNameless Shrine. Ring the bell at the top of the steps between the two inari statues to have Yatagarasu send you back to Dark Fukugawa-cho, enabling access to the Dark Realm in this fashion from this point forward inRaidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army.
Bring A Lockpick And A Demon That Can Fly
Back in the Dark Realm, you’ll talk with Gouto about howthe guards have moved to new postsin the time you were away, which will require taking a different path to the jail cell this time. As such, carefully make your wayall the way southuntil you come across a small wooden plank leading out tothe river.
By calling on ademon with Flyas one of their passive skills, you’ll be able to send this familiar out to explore on your behalf as a Solo Investigation. You can jump across the river with this devil to find some treasures, but your real goal isfollowing the river to the eastfrom where Raidou is still standing on the dock.
While controlling your demon familiar, you’ve got two goals. You need to:
With the boat nearby, you’ll regain control of Raidou, so hop in and sail up the river. Go to the dock with thegate you just unlockedwith your demon and use this newly opened gate to sneak past the soldiers along the southern edge of town. Once you arrive, go north up the back alleyway andclear the Nethergateto proceed. Heal up if needed, and then gounlock Denpachi’s cellwith your lockpick, but prepare for a fight.
Miniboss Battle: Masked Red Guards
This battle against the two red guards in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army isn’t hard, just a bit frustrating before you work out the mechanics. The trick is being prepared for a dual-range battle:one guard is a ranged fighter while the other is a melee fighter.
Because of this,one guard will always shoot at Raidouduring the battle, squatting low and producing a large machine gun to take aim.
The melee guard will still be coming your way, but to avoid frustrations, try anddefeat the ranged guard firstto have an easier time dealing with the second. When the fight ends, Denpachi gives Raidou a photo and asks him tohelp find Denpachi’s sister.
Take Advantage Of The Full Moon And Capture The Red Cape
You’ll need more info on Denpachi’s sister, sogo back to Daikoku-Yuand ask the Yakuza boss for information using the photo you obtained back in the Dark Realm. He directs you to theRed Light District, which requires leaving Fukugawa-cho through thenorthern city exitto reach.
In this small area, you’ll find Denpachi’s sister, the woman who stopped you back by the construction site earlier in the chapter.Talk to herfor a moment before Gouto tells you toreturn to Narumi Detective Agencyto check in. From here, use the streetcar to go back toShin-Sekai, where you’ll speak with Tae.
She gives you ¥3,000 during this scene, so be sure to use it to buy a few sodas to power up before the next full moon – you’ll want some extra buffs for the fight ahead.
You’ll now need toreturn to the construction siteback in the main part of Ginza-cho, going to the same spot beneath the bridge therethe next time the moon is fullafter this part of the chapter becomes active. While you’re waiting, explore the area andpurchase a lucky charmfrom the haggard NPC, talking the price down a bit before purchasing.
When the moon phase is right, enter the construction site underpass screen. Here, you’ll face off against a bizarre car demon,Oroboguruma, to get the rickshaw knob that Denpachi is missing.
Before you can return, though, you’ll need to talk to two other characters.
Then, when you’re ready, return to Ginza-cho and go to theconstruction siteagain when you return, where you’ll trigger the first part of the boss battle for this chapter with the Red Cape. Solve the puzzle, defeat the boss, and progress into chapter three of Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army.
