The map forDune: Awakeningis not only incredibly large, but it’s also incredibly dense and hard to traverse. If you’re not sure where you’re going and exactly how to get there, it’s easy to fall into plenty of pitfalls. One such pitfall you might fall into comes when you’re tasked to find the slavers on Arrakis, a group of brutal gangs who trade in slaves with the Harkonnens.
However, if you’re looking for the slaver’s territory, whether for a contract or equipment, look no further than this guide. Here’s everything you need to know to find the slavers in Dune: Awakening.
Who Are The Slavers?
Most areas of Dune: Awakening’s map havea distinct group or faction that controls the area. For example, the settlement of Arrakeen is controlled by House Atreides, while most of the Vermillius Gap is considered Kirab territory.
Later on, in Dune: Awakening, understanding different groups and factions is imperativewhen it comes to using the Landsraad system.
The slavers are one such groupwho work with the Harkonnens to capture citizens of the Imperium and sell them into slavery.
Where To Find The Slavers
As a faction, the slavers primarily occupy the Jabal Eifrit regiontoward the north of the map, justabove the Vermillius Gapandto the west of the Hagga Rift.
This area isflanked by quicksand, so be careful crossing north from the Vermillius Gap.
If your vehiclesuccumbs to quicksand, use your Vehicle Backup Tool to pluck it from the sand.
You can find slavers all across this regionat various encampments, but you’ll want to primarilyventure to Intel Bases, which are clustered centrally in Jabal Eifrit.
Most of the slavers you’ll encounter in this area arestationed in these Intel Bases, and clearing them out will earn you plenty of good loot and Intel as well.
How To Complete The Kill Ten Slavers Contract
If you reach the Anvil, a settlement in the Vermillius Gap section of the map, you’ll get a cutscene that introduces you to a member of House Atreidesquarreling with a member of House Harkonnen.
Should you talk to the representative of House Atreides, known as Lieutenant Anton Tolliver,he’ll give you a series of quests to prove your loyalty to the house.
One of these quests requires players to kill ten slavers, and is one of the primary contracts you’ll encounter that requires you to find the slavers.
Keep in mind,if you’re more interestedinpledging your loyalty to House Harkonnen, you might want toavoid speaking to and completing quests for Tolliver.
Once you’ve accepted this contract,a pin will appear on your mapdirecting you to Jabal Eifrit. However, this waypoint is not an exact location, but rather a ranged area.
Your best bet for killing ten slavers is to travel to each Intel Basein the Jabal Eifrit region. By heading to each of these bases, you’ll handily complete the contract and be able to increase your standing with House Atreides.
