InDune: Awakening, there is a wide variety of resources you’re able to find randomly on Arrakis. But, for Plasteel Microflora Fibers, you’ll need to hone in your search since they can only be gathered in specific locations. This can make the fibers hard to find, but once you know where they are, farming them comes with ease.
Getting the resource early on in the game is ideal as it can help you craft better armor and stronger weapons. Plus, it would be wise to have a large amount of these fibers saved up since you’ll constantly be grinding for better equipment. If you’re struggling to locate the Plasteel Microflora Fiber, you should use this guide.
How To Find Plasteel Microflora Fibers
Currently, the only way to obtain and farm the fibers is bynavigating the many shipwrecks on Arrakis. When you start Dune: Awakening, you’ll be led to do a side mission calledWrecking Crewin Hagga Basin Souththat will have you navigatingThe Wreck of the Alcyon.
By fighting your way through, there will bechests filled with various amountsof the fibers.
These shipwrecks are mostly PVP. This can make traversing the wrecks quite difficult because you must be on the lookout for both enemy NPCs and players.
However, this will be the only spot in the regionto get the Plasteel Microflora Fibers. When you’re able to move out of the starting area and head to other locations, such asEast and West Vermillius Gap, for example, you’ll be able to find more.
With the same example above, if you’re inEast Vermillius Gap, you can find the fibers inThe Wreck of the Actaeon. On thewestern side of the gap, there will be The Wreck of the Pallas.
The general rule of thumb is thatwhen you enter a new area, start searching for the shipwrecks. The earlier you find and harvest the fibers from them, the more options you have to make things back at base.
For each new area you get into, craft and deploy Survey Beacons. They can show you all the important POIs in the vicinity, which include the shipwrecks.
It’s also worth pointing out that these fibersrespawn in the exact same spots after some time. So, if you’re short on them, wait for a little bitbetween grinding andhead back to a wreck.
These wrecks can be located in theopen desert. This meanssandworms can appear more oftenif you’re not careful. To help you get across large swathes of desert, use a sandbike.
While traveling, the bike can help you get away from oncoming sandworms. So, it’s a good idea to craft them when you can.
