This guide has everything you need to know. We’re going to walk you through the process of finding opafire gems, as well as what to do with them once you’ve got them. Here’s what you need to know to track down opafire gems in Dune: Awakening.
Where To Find Opafire Gems
In Dune: Awakening, there aretwo main ways to find opafire gems:
Truthfully, the easiest way to get opafire gems is tobuy them on the Exchange.
Thiscan become pretty pricey, however. But, if you’re solari-rich, we recommend traveling to Arrakeen or Harko Village and visiting the Exchange to get your hands on some opafire gems.
However, if you don’t have the money to find opafire gems, you’ll need to hunt for buried treasurein the open sands on Arrakis.
You’llneed a Static Compactorto dig up buried treasure.
To do this, you’ll want tomake sure you have either a Handhold Resource Scanner or a Vehicle Resource Scanner. We recommend the Vehicle Resource Scanner.
A lot of the time, you’ll find buried treasure on drum sand. But without an ornithopter or really quick reflexes, this is pretty hard to accomplish, as you’ll likely attract a sandworm within seconds.
Head out onto open sand and scan the areawith one of your resource centers. When you spot an iconfloating above the sand, you’ve likely found buried treasure.
Obviously,if you see an icon above a resource like spice or flour sandappear, this does not indicate buried treasure, but rather, the given resource.
From there, simplyhead to the icon and use your static compactorto dig up the buried treasure. Typically, you’ll find opafire gems inside.
Ornithopters are the best vehicles for discovering opafiregems thanks to their aerial view.
How To Use Opafire Gems
Opafire gems aremainly used to complete Landsraad Questsin Dune: Awakening. In this way, opafire gems are mainly an endgame quest item.
To unlock the Landsraad, you’ll first need tocomplete a faction questfor either House Atreides or House Harkonnen.
You can start these quests by heading to the Anvil in the Eastern Vermillius Gap.
However, you can also sell opafire gems on the Exchange, which can prove profitable as well.
