Basalt Stone can be found mainly on the left-hand side of the mapnear these regions:

While Basalt Stone is often found in these locations, there area few more specific areas within these larger regionsyou’ll want to go to in order to find Basalt Stone.

When it comes to regions in Dune: Awakening,many areas of the map are easier to traverse than others.

For example,while Basalt Stone can be found in Sheol, the region is highly radioactive, making it difficult to traverse.

Mysa Tarill

Compared to other sections of this half of the map,Mysa Tarill is much more open and easily accessible by vehicles.

Keep in mind,you’ll needthe Cutterray MK 3in order to mine Basalt Stone.

A large base extends from the edge of a rock in Dune Awakening.

This makes entering the area and mining for Basalt Stone far easier, asyou can drive into the area, mine for Basalt, and easily head backtoward the more populated, open areas of the map.

Much of the top-left corner of Arrakis' map has stark elevation drops, sobe prepared to climb.

It’s alsohelpful to have a Planar Suspensor Belt, or another kind of Suspensor, before heading into this area.

Eastern Shield Wall

The Eastern Shield Wall is alsoa great place to mine for Basalt Stoneas it bordersJamal Eifrit Al-Gharband is close to the Vermillius Gap.

The Pinnacle Tradepost also borders this region, which can be helpful for a quick getaway.

These two regions arefar more hospitable, so you alwayshave a quick way to escapeif you’re feeling overwhelmed, or your sub-fief is far away from the left portion of the map.

How To Use Basalt Stone

The primary way you’ll end up using Basalt Stone isto refine Plastone.

Plastone is a powerful building materialthat’s sandstorm-resistant, and is also used for a lot of special decorative items from the game’s factions: the Atreides and the Harkonnens.

Depending on the type of refinery you’re using,you’ll need three ingredients to refine Plastone.

Plastone is refined in larger chunks.You can refine up to 250 Plastone at a time, depending on your refinery size.
