The Fremen Deathstill is an invaluable piece of equipment you can use inDune: Awakening. However, unlike a lot of other pieces of gear you can acquire, which simply require you to research the tech using Intel points, you’ll actually have to complete a certain quest line before you can fabricate a Deathstill. However, the results are worth it.
So, if you’re wondering how to find and use the Fremen Deathstill, look no further than this guide. Though the task is a bit more arduous than most, we’re going to show you everything you need to do to research and use the Fremen Deathstill.
How To Get The Fremen Deathstill
To get the Deathstill, you’ll need tocomplete all of the quests in the Footsteps of the Fremenquestline, which means you’ll need tocomplete all eight Trials of Aql.
Though the questline is long, youcan complete all eight trials within about two to three hoursif you’re dedicated.
Once you’ve done this and completed all the trials,you’ll automatically unlock the Fremen Deathstill research projectin your research tree.
Simplyreturn to your baseto construct a Deathstill.
How To Create The Fremen Deathstill
To construct the Fremen Deathstill,you’ll need the following materialsin your sub-fief.
Once you’ve gathered these materials, simplyopen your Construction Tool and place the Fremen Deathstillin your sub-fief.
It should be noted that the Fremen Deathstillrequires about 200 power, so you’ll want to make sure you have enough generators or turbines.
Without power, the Deathstill is virtually useless.
How To Use The Fremen Deathstill
Once you’ve constructed the Fremen Deathstill,you can now use it to create water.
To use the Deathstill, you’ll need tokill an enemyand carry their corpse back to your sub-fief. To do this,you’ll need a buggy to transport the body.
Keep in mind, once you start filling up your buggy with resources, including dead bodies, you won’t be able to store it in your Vehicle Replicator.
So,make sure you have plenty of fuelat your disposal.
From there, simplyplace the body on the Fremen Deathstillto begin the water extraction process.
The Deathstill extracts about 25,000 waterevery hour. This is far and away the most efficient way to provide water for yourself and your sub-fief.
Later on in your journey through Dune: Awakening, you can also create the Advanced Fremen Deathstill, whichcan process 45,000 waterin less time.
You’ll need Duraluminumto do this, so you’ll need to have accessed the Deep Desert at this point.
