There are dozens of side quests to keep you busy during your journey throughTainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon,with Branded And Exiled offering a simple yet satisfying quest to complete. Throughout your time in the Horns of the South, you’ll find plenty of bandits to defeat along the roads, and you’ll notice that they’re a huge plague in the area.
you may witness exactly how ruthless these bandits are by speaking with Rhosyn, whose husband, Morris, was kidnapped by one such bandit named Bald Cait. It’s up to you to help find and rescue Rhosyn’s husband before it’s too late.
How To Start Branded And Exiled
To begin this quest,seek out Rhosynin thesouthwestern cornerof the map, past the Horns of the South main compound inthe Village.
Follow the winding pathbordering the outside of the fortress anddown the seemingly endless staircases to reach the villagesection.
Turn left (southwest) immediately upon reaching the Village,right after you pass through the gate. Follow the path, and you’ll run directly intoRhosyn’shouse.
Speak to her to learn more about her missing husband and that he may still be alive despite her worst fears. This will begin theBranded and Exiled quest.
How To Save Morris & Defeat Bald Cait
Unfortunately, her husband,Morris, is in Bald Cait’s camp,which is located inThe Mill at the Abandoned Villageto the east.
Head to the Abandoned Village,which is east of the Abandoned Stronghold and northwest of the Ruined Broch.
Clear out the bandits from this area and make for The Mill immediately, then head inside and fight your way down into Bald Cait’s hideout, whereCait and her minions will be waiting downstairs.
This fight can bechallenging, similar to Senan the Giant,so be prepared with plenty of healing potions and drink any buffing potions before initiating your attack.
Caitis a vicious foe who attacks repeatedly unless you canstagger herbefore she does the same to you. Evade as many attacks as you’re able to, andcounterattack from a distance,thinning the enemies out so only Cait remains.
Once youdefeat Cait, loot her body for her head,along withBald Cait’s Tunic,77 gold, Branding Iron, Leather Gloves, Leather Pants, and Sturdy Leather Boots.
Once you have her head, speak to Morris andrelease him from his imprisonment, then give him Bald Cait’s Headand send him back to the Horns of the South.
You may recall that havinga brand is a no-go and can get you killed on sight,so Morris needs Bald Cait’s Head more than you do.
Once you’ve finished at The Mill, head back up and make your way out of the Abandoned Village.
What Rewards Do You Get From Branded And Exiled?
From here, return to the village and check on the newly reunited couple and claim your reward.Once you speak with the couple,they’ll both thank you for your efforts andoffer you rewardsfrom each of them.
You’ll receive1,500 total exp and 250 coinsfor your efforts.
