The Shivering Isles DLC forThe Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remasteredtransports you to the chaotic domain of Sheogorath, a land torn between the vibrant excess of Mania and the dark madness of Dementia. This bizarre world is home to eccentric characters, surreal scenery, and a wide range of unusual quests that often lead to hidden treasures, dangerous foes, and rare crafting materials.

One such side quest is the Antipodean Hammer. After speaking with the local blacksmith in town, you’re enlightened to a new possibility: he offers to forge incredibly powerful gear, but only if you can bring him the specific materials required.

How To Start The Antipodean Hammer Quest

There are two ways in which you can start this quest.

How To Complete The Antipodean Hammer Quest

Amber can be obtained from two sources:Gnarls, a specific type of enemy thatlooks like walking trees, andhollowed glowing trees, both of which can be foundinside caves with entrances marked by massive trees.

Here is a map of all the available caves on the map to make it easy for you, as it seems that most, if not all, caves will have some sort of Gnarls or hollowed trees.

Sometimes, you will finda few Gnarls roaming outside, but once you enter the caves, they will be plentiful. The caves will befilled with these enemies, as well ashollowed trees that you can harvest Amber from.

After you collect some Amber,head back to Dumag gro-Bonk. He will give you a list of items you’re able to forge ranging from weapons and armor pieces.

Here is a completelist of all the gear pieces that you can craft from Amberand how many you need for each one of them.

Even if you craft all the items, the quest won’t be marked as complete, and that’s normal. Just remember that these items are leveled, so you can buy better versions of weapons and armor you already have, as long as you have the Amber.

If it bothers you that the quest is stuck in your journal like it did for me, you can use the console command ‘completequest SE30’ to remove it.
