What Is Solari?

In the world of Dune and Dune: Awakening,Solari is the Imperial currencyused on Arrakis. During your time in Awakening, you’ll use it for many reasons:

While it’s more important to have a steady supply of resources like water, ore, and fuel cells, you’ll want tomake sure you also have a supply of Solari coming in.

If you run out of Solari and fail to pay your taxes to the Imperium, you can lose your sub-fief entirely, so be warned!

Imperial Testing Stations

Imperial Testing Stations arefar and away the best place to mine Solarion Arrakis.

These Testing Stations are vast underground mazes that areriddled with chests to plunder, as well as enemies to loot.

Plan for a run through an Imperial Testing Station during the day to farm Solari and stay out of the sun. With any luck, you’ll leave with a few thousand Solari.

Intel Areas

There are many sections on the map in which you can findgrouped Intel Areas. These are also great for farming Solari.

Each of these areas isa mini-fortress with enemies inside. There are typically anywhere fromthree to five chests in these fortresses, and plenty of enemies to loot Solari for.

Plus, you also get Intel for completing these, meaning that you’ll be able to research more schematics.

Grouped Bandit Camps

Though not nearly as effective, barring all other options, if you find a cluster of Bandit Camps, youcan typically find Solari here as well.

Each Bandit Campusually has at least one chest with Solariin it. Tearing through these encampments as a group can earn you at least a few hundred Solari.

How To Earn Solari Fast

If you don’t want to just farm Solari in the environment, there are a few surefire ways to earn Solari on Arrakis, though these can be more time-consuming.

In the early game of Dune: Awakening, you’ll want tofocus on farming Solari rather than crafting resources.

Crafting resources, completing contracts, and selling wares isbetter saved for later game progression, when you’ve already figured out how to survive on Arrakis.

Complete Contracts

The most surefire way to earn a lot of Solaris quickly in Dune: Awakening isto complete contracts.

You canfind contracts at anycontracts board in a settlement or a tradepost. Some contracts follow a more linear questline, while others are just one-off odd jobs.

Either way, contracts can earn you thousands of Solari at a time. Completing an entire job board can often earn you tens of thousands in a single play session.

If you want to maximize your time in Dune: Awakening, try completing contracts from various trainers.

The trainers willhelp you unlock skill trees and also grant you Solaris. For example, the Advanced Swordmasterhas contracts worth 5,000 Solaris and can help you unlock capstone Swordmaster skills.

Sell Schematics And Wares

Though time-consuming, another great way to earn Solari is tosell schematics and wares.Schematics are far away the most valuable, asunique schematics are hard to come by.

However, make sure you’reonly selling schematics to other playerswho are paying the right price. Most in-gamevendors won’t pay much for these. You’ll want to use the Exchange for this.

You can alsosell other waresyou might have duplicates of; for example:

Higher-level vehiclesbeyond the sandbikecan prove really valuableif you can fabricate multiples, as these are time-consuming and costly to make.

Some players might just prefer to buy these from you, rather than having to do the work themselves.

Sell Resources

Last, you can also harvest and sell key resources, like Spice,on the Exchange or to vendors throughout Dune: Awakening.

Surprisingly, this can sometimes be the least effective way to earn Solari, despite the narrative of the game being so dependent on Spice.

This is becausethe value of Spice can fluctuatein-game. Plus, in-game Spice vendors won’t usually pay that much for the resource, even at peak value.

You’ll only want toharvest and sell spice if you can accumulate a lot of itin the Deep Desert, the game’s PvP area. So,save this strategy for the late game.
