In a game calledDate Everything, you might imagine the goal is to date everything you can find in your home. And while that is partially true, there is plenty in the game for you to see. These objects didn’t just suddenly come to life around you, after all. They all have their own lives, and that coems with a healthy few problems.
The house is not fully unified, it’s hard with 100 Dateables living in it. There are bound to be some people at each other’s throats. Or in the case of Florence, a well-meaning individual who is just way in over her head, and a doting mayor that just wants the best for her. So here’s how to help Florence be her best self.
Meeting Stella
While you begin this quest by talking with Florence and Celia, it’s best togive yourself a headstart in this investigation, and that’s by talking with Stella. She is literally on the way. With Florence and Celia being the floor and ceiling,Stella bridges them togetheras she is the stairs.
After your very first conversation with Stella, it will become clear, whether she knows it or not, thatshe is part of a pyramid scheme. An ironic tiered system to be in when you are literally all steps. She tries to pawn off all kinds of products on you, and even says you can sell them on yourself for some prestige of your own.
you may outright tell Stella that this is a pyramid scheme, but she will deny it, at least somewhat. She’s becoming old, and she just wants some purpose once again. Even if she is being taken advantage of. So at least humour her for a minute. Just to make her happy. She doesn’t seem to be hurting anyone so far, at least.
Learning About Florence Being Trapped In A Pyramid Scheme
Meeting Florence And Stella
After your illuminating conversation with Stella, proceed upstairs andinteract with the floor to summon Florence. You’ll have a brief chat with her where she’ll make you some tea, but otherwise seems a bit out of it, likeshe can’t quite settle on any one thing. After this, she will invite you into Celia’s office for a one-on-one meeting.
Talking with Florence and Celia only takes a single charge from the Dateviators, especially if you start with Florence and then have her lead you to Celia.
After a brief introduction to Celia and her position, she will ask your opinion of Florence. While you get a variety of options, they all ultimately boil down to the fact thatCelia has noticed she’s seemed a bit off recentlyand that she seems to be very distracted much of the time. As the mayor of the home, she can’t freely move and check-in on others like you can, and so she asks that you do this in her stead.
you’re able to deny involvement, but where’s the fun in that? Accept and head on your merry way for a brand-new investigation. For now, you have tofinish off your day, and talk with Florence and Celia again tomorrow.
If you haven’t already, speak with Stella now so you have the chance to advance the quest tomorrow.
Advancing The Investigation
With the beginning of the next day, head on over to Florence immediately. Before you get a chance to talk with Celia,Florence will show you some canned air she is sellingthat supposedly improves the body and mind. In fact, she seems to be spending all of her life’s savings on this, and if you’ve done your investigation with Stella beforehand, you’ll know already that she is the culprit here. The stairs and floor are always connected, after all.
After this, proceed on to Celia and she will ask if you have made any discoveries in your investigation. If you spoke with Stella beforehand, you can tell her as much. Otherwise, you will have to tell her you haven’t discovered anything yet, and come back to her another day. This is why it’s best to speak to Stella in advance.
With this newfound information, Celia plans to get to the root of the problem herself - bydirectly confronting Stella about what she is doingwith all this pyramid scheme business. And she wants you there for support. So go now to visit Stella for a rather heated conversation where it will be very hard to please everyone.
If you spoke to Stella before Florence and Celia on this day, you’ll have to wait until tomorrowbefore you can advance the quest further.
Confronting Stella
When you interact with Stella next,no matter how long you leave itafter sharing the information about her pyramid scheme, Celia will be there too. And she isn’t keen on being coy. She directly questions Stella on the pyramid scheme, and that she is dragging others into this, with Florence wasting all of her money on this.
Stella, though initially defensive, shifts her ire towards you next. No longer hiding her place in the pyramid scheme, she instead accuses of you spreading the information about her scheme to Celia. Which, while true, you’re able to attempt to deny. However, this doesn’t dissuade Stella and she only intensifies her anger. Celia demands she put an end to this, and you can have one final piece of input.
This choice is very important. Of the three presented to you,one of them is an Empathy check of 45. With this, you can avoid Stella being fully shutdown, and maybe even reach a compromise. This, however, may not be the ideal outcome if you want Florence to be free of the pyramid scheme. The other options you can choose will end the pyramid scheme, but will also result in Stella hating you. And there’s no coming back from that.
Unless youpresent her a Candy that Keith can give you, that is.
Getting And Ending With Florence And Celia
With the pyramid scheme put to an end, your investigation is finally complete, and Florence has been freed from the scheme. The next time you speak with Celia, she will thank you for your help in resolving this, andyou can ask her why she is quite so invested. There are many issues in the house, yet it is only the one that directly impacts Florence that she acts on.
In what was a very poorly-kept secret, you’re able to pry enough to get her to admit that indeed, she is smitten with Florence, but doesn’t feel it is appropriate to pursue anything romantic as her boss. Well, with a bit of support from you and the overhearing of Florence just outside, you can finally get them to admit their feelings for one another.
It doesn’t have to end there though. They may love each other, but that doesn’t mean they can’t love you, too. If you choose tolet them govern as co-mayors, they will both become your friend. If you instead opt for a three-party system, the three of you will enter into a polyamorous relationship. It’s for the betterment of the house, after all.
