Episode Six in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army is among the shorter chapters in the game, requiring little input from you directly other than fast-traveling to cutscene locations. You’ll watch plenty of cutscenes now that Kaya is back at Narumi Detective Agency, which eventually results in Raidougoing to Kounno-yato collect a package.

Go back to the agency for a few more cutscenes, thengo to the Goumadento speak with Victor about something other than demon fusion requests andSword Alchemy upgradesto improve your weapons and learn new skills. Your journey will send you back to Satake at the bathhouse inFukugawa-cho.

After this conversation, go over to theGinza-cho construction sitewhere you explored in the game’s second episode, and watch the cutscene to end this chapter.

How To Destroy The Talisman

Following some introductory cutscenes, as has become fairly standard of new chapters in Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army by now, you’ll need to ultimately get over to theNameless Shrineto speak with the Herald of Yatagarasu, who shows you that the man behind the scenes has been afflicted with a terrible curse.

It’s up to Raidou to not only cleanse the curse, but to take it on himself in order to do so. As such, you’ll need toaccept the cursefrom the Herald of Yaragarasu when she asks you to unburden the god. The talisman creating this curse is located someplace withinDark Fukugawa-cho, so ask the Herald of Yatagarasu to send you there to get started.

This section is a bit odd, in that you’ll need torepeatedly be sent away from your goal. When you get to Dark Fukugawa-cho, you’ll also notice before long thatRaidou takes damage every few secondsas a result of the curse. Be sure you’ve got healing items from Kounno-ya on hand, or a demon that knows healing magic to call on from the main menu in times of need.

The damage doesn’t seem to continue during standard combat against demons you encounter around Dark Fukugawa-cho, but when Raidou is running through the streets to explore, you’ll hear an impact sound and see a brief flash, indicating that you’ve lost some of your HP. When playing on higher difficulties, this damage drain seems to be a bit increased.

Dark Fukugawa-cho looks the same as it did before, bit when youuse the western path to go south toward the riverhere in the neighborhood, you’ll be stopped by a pair of Utai-Gaikotsu. They taunt Raidou for a moment beforewarping you back out of the area, depositing you in the northern section of town near the carnival showcase.

Not to be daunted,go back to the Utai-Gaikotsufor another scene, which results in you once again being sent back up to the northern section of town. Gouto tells you to use the demons' simple-mindedness against them andreturn to the Utai-Gaikotsu a third timeto learn the location of their talisman.

Again, you’ll go through a good amount of HP running back and forth due to Raidou’s curse, so be sure to heal up as needed.

Unhappy you tricked them, the Utai-Gaikotsu attack, triggering the miniboss battle for Episode Seven of Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army. They absorb fire magic, which heals them, and they’re alsoimpervious to death magic, two affinities to keep in mind to prevent wasting time or resources.

Thankfully, the brothers take a good amount of damage from theirweakness to physical damage types, so be sure to bring your strongest physical attackers for the fight.

Configure Raidou’s Summoner Skills list to include a good slew of the physical damage moves you’ve been picking up as you upgrade your weaponsat the Goumaden. These moves are often much more powerful than your standard heavy sword slash, even if they do need some time to recharge between uses.

The attack to watch out for from the brothers is not so much Mudo, as this simply halves your HP and cannot technically kill you because of this, butPetra, a skill move that deals light mind damage and canturn Raidou and his demons into stone, preventing you from moving at all for several seconds.

Wait for the effect to wear off, or use an Anti-Stone to heal up immediately.

Your demons will also be on the line to be turned to stone, so keep an eye on everyone’s status during the battle - Raidou isn’t the only one whose HP and status may change. You can bring a demon that knows Patra to clear plenty of ailments, so if you’ve still got access to it, it’s not a bad idea to use this demon as your second in your configuration to provide support.

How To Dispel Raidou’s Curse

Once the fight with the two Utai-Gaikotsu has been cleared, you’re free to proceed with Episode Seven of Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army. To do so, keep pushingalong the river in the southern part of townnow that the obstructions have been cleared, since your end goal is to reachthe vacant lotat the center of this southern path.

In the way, though, areseveral different Nethergates, each of which will need to be cleared independently of the other three. This time around, you’ll need to be prepared to handleWind, Gun, and Electricdamage, but Nethergates should be no real obstacle by now.

Your demons,if left on auto-battle, will be able to sharpshoot the Nethergate’s weakness for most affinity-based battles, but it’s up to Raidou touse your pistol to clear the Gun Nethergate, since your demons don’t gain access to firearms.

You’ve got a pretty tough boss battle ahead against a demon who can change shape and affinities routinely throughout your fight, so we’d recommend saving and hitting the Goumaden using the nearby Dragon’s Fount - you’ll wantfire, ice, electric, and dark demonsfor the battle ahead, sinceHitokotonushi isn’t going downwithout one hell of a fight.
