However, to deal with the many enemies and monsters in the game, you must have a proper equipment set. Sometimes, you can’t rely just on your wit, and keeping yourself in proper shape will mean the difference between life and death, so you must craft your own tools and weapons.
How To Unlock Crafting
To unlock crafting, you must firstreach the Keeper’s fortress in The Horns Of The South. As you explore this location,you will find the blacksmith Osbryht, who will quickly give you the “Corpse Eater Armor” questso you can learn how to craft new equipment.
In this Grindstone,you can craft tools like arrows and lockpicks, but more importantly,weaponsof all kinds,armor pieces, and evenmaterials to create better items.
How To Craft
The process to craft new items and equipment is always the same;you must gather a list of specific materials, go to a Grindstone, and interact with it to open the crafting menu.In this menu, you will see all the recipes you have unlocked throughout your playthrough, andselecting a specific item will display the full list of materials in the middle of the screen.
While the recipes change depending on the item, you will usually see wood and metal resources as part of these, sominingand lumbering become a key part of the gameplay if you want to keep yourself in shape.
How To Upgrade Equipment
Once fully equipped,you can continue improving your weapons and armor using the Upgrade function, which will empower your items by adding levels to them. In the case of weapons, you will see a Damage buff, and for armor parts, your Armor values will increase. However,this mechanic shines when you upgrade equipment pieces with effects, as these will also see improved values.
Another way to upgrade your armor pieces is to reduce their weight, which you can also do in the Grindstone.
How To Attach Relics
Relics are items that you can find across Avalon, andyou can attach them to equipment pieces so they add special effectsof various kinds.To do this, you mustuse the Grindstone to enable the Relic slots in a specific piece of equipment, and then select one of your relics to attach itto that item.
Don’t worry about losing the relics; you’re able to freely attach and detach relics from your armor pieces, which makes them versatile enough if you want to change into better equipment.
