InDate Everything, you can date just about everything. But at what point does dating everything get a bit too meta? Yes, you can date your furniture and your appliances, that’s all well and dandy. But this is still a game, and it gets a bit weird when you have to play a game within the game to date the console itself.

That’s the scenario you’re in with Luna. The physical embodiment of your video game console, she is also a character within the video game you are playing on that exact console. But when you keep forgetting to save the game, It’s no surprise she doesn’t remember you. Here’s what you need to do to break the loop and save Luna.

Highlighting the console with the Dateviators in date everything.

How To Meet Luna

Luna is one of the earliest Dateables you can meet in the game, as soon as you get the freedom to explore your house and awaken any Dateable object that you want.Luna is the video game console you own, of which is only found in a single room, and that is the living room. She is specifically located beneath your TV, and can be awakened by interacting with the console itself, its controller, or the video game cases.

Rather than speaking with Luna herself once the game boots up,you will instead be introduced to a video game, Moonsurgents: Resurgence. This is the medium through which you will meet Luna, and what you must beat to get an ending with her.

Some characters will refer to Luna as Connie instead. This might seem odd, but it will all be explained later on in Luna’s story.

Every Step Of Luna’s Game, Moonsurgents: Resurgence

Luna is trapped in something of a loop, witheach meeting running you through the same mission again and again, uncovering new pieces of information with each run. This will take a few tries, and even more if you make mistakes. So here are all the guaranteed times you have to run through the mission, and how to finally break the loop.

Initial Meeting

On your very first meeting with Luna, you won’t be able to actually do anything to advance the mission and break the loop. Instead, this is your first introduction to the flow of the mission, and gives you a chance to see everything that is possible.

Because none of your actions yet strictly have any effect, feel free to choose whatever options you want. We would recommendgoing through the crafting menu and being stealthy where possibleso you can see as much of the game as possible on your first run. Once you defeat Celestia, you will beat the game and get an ending with Luna. Sudden, but there you go.

This does not give you any SPECS pointssince you haven’t actually completed Luna’s mission yet.

Learning Lingonberries

After beginning your second mission with Luna, she will act like she’s never met you before. In fact, she will be reintroduced and added to the Date-a-Dex as if this is your first time meeting her, with her relationship status with you reset. Because you didn’t actually finish the mission, or maybe because you just didn’t save the game, Luna doesn’t remember anything that happened.

The same does not apply to you though. You can explain this to Luna, andshe will teach you the phrase ‘Lingonberries’. This is used so she will trust you in future about your past meetings, as you would have no way of knowing it otherwise. For the remainder of the mission, you must proceed as normal, so try to take different routes to see what ends they lead to.

Ultimately, you will have to fight Celestia and Selene again, and will havethe chance to get a new ending with Luna.

While you can use the phrase ‘Lingonberries’ at times throughout this run,it will have no impact.

Getting The Xeno Goggles And Recipe

On the beginning of the third run, the mission will reset and Luna will be reintroduced once again. This time, make sure you say Lingonberries to her right away, and she will know that you are trapped in a timeloop. From this point on, she will let you take the lead.

The easiest process to follow here are to choose any and all new dialogue options. The first of these will let youfind a shortcut to the base without being detected, which will give you the Xeno Goggles. These allow you to see invisible threats, but supposedly decreases your combat capabilities. The mission then proceeds as normal.

In a later section with hidden enemies, you can ask Luna to wear the goggles, butshe will refuse because of bad advice she got. Remember this for the next run.

Once you reach the final boss fight, the mission plays as it normally would, but you can tell Luna to equip the Xeno Goggles after the battle ends. With this, she will find a recipe for the Harmonic Stratospire, which should be able to destroy the timeloop she is stuck in.

Using The Harmonic Stratospire

Just as the previous few runs, everything has reset, and so you mustintroduce yourself to Luna with the ‘Lingonberries’ phrase. She’ll ask you how many times you’ve had to do this, and will be happy if you admit it hasn’t been all that many runs at all.

Like before, this mission proceeds like the previous run. The Xeno Goggles aren’t necessary, though pick them up for safety’s sake. This time, you can convince Luna to wear them if you tried to get her to previously, which will let you take out the hidden enemies and get through the base faster.

Once you reach the crafting table, be careful. Here is where you can craft the Harmonic Stratospire. However, you are not given an option to craft it in dialogue. You need to remember the recipe yourself and create it piece-by-piece. If you make a mistake, you’ll have to wait until the next run to create it. The recipe is as follows:

The order in which you select them is irrelevant, but try to do them in order so you don’t lose track. The Harmonic Stratospire isn’t finished as soon as all the pieces are put together, either. You have to choose when to stop crafting, so count carefully so you don’t put in something extra by mistake.

With the Harmonic Stratospire created, you can finally break the loop. During the battle against Selene, Celestia will turn against her this time, and reveal thatshe, Selene, and Luna are all part of one person - Connie. There will be some doubts, but eventually all three moon-named beings coalesce into the singular Connie.

This time, finally, the mission is complete, andyou will get your final ending with Connie.

How To Change Your Relationship Status With Luna

While Luna/Connie has three different endings like every other Dateable, they function quite differently than them due to the unique way in which she functions. In a way, they’re actually much simpler.

Because Luna gets an ending every time you finish her mission, and then gets reintroduced each time you talk to her again, you may actually see all of her endings in a single playthrough. In fact, there are just enough runs to see each of them once before you have to lock in your final relationship status.

If you choose to get a Hate ending with Luna after saying ‘Lingonberries’ to her,she will even joke that you’re doing it because she won’t remember it.

At the end of each run, you may choose which ending you want regardless of the choices you made along the way. The same is true for the final run of the mission as well.Keep in mind that this one will be permanent though, so be confident in what you choose this time.
